I've been reading where people are using solder WAY older with no problems.  Like my 20-yr old stuff.  Sometimes the rosin core might go bad and you just have to get rid of a foot or so.  If it flows well, go with it!

I've got some .032 44 and some .020 Kester electronic silver solder.  Going to give them a try on an upcoming build.

I think that it can look good to get matching black and white keyboards and swap the caps into the opposite cases.
Citizens United violates the essence of what made America a great country in its political system. Now it’s just an oligarchy, with unlimited political bribery being the essence of getting the nominations for president or to elect the president.
So now we’ve just seen a complete subversion of our political system as a payoff to major contributors, who want and expect and sometimes get favors for themselves after the election’s over.”

Does the GH60 rev. C have any led support?

It has pads and traces for full backlighting, but it needs an external board to act as a controller. A few LEDs/zones are available without an external board, such as WASD lights.

Is that a thing I can buy? Or would something like a rgb strip work under it?

Search for QMK firmware. People are using that with RGB led strips to get underglow.

I know with the Satan GH60 and Phantom so it should be possible with regular GH60.

I'd like to spend no more than $200. I always turn off LEDs on my boards but it's cool if they're included (as long as they can be turned off). At this time I'm looking for something that I can just buy and put the keycaps on instead of building it myself. At first I was just thinking about a Filco Majestouch 2 but wanted to see if there are any better options for the price range.

does anyone have a link for a standard qwerty layout (or some sort of hhkb layout would be better) for gh60 rev. c with atmega 32u4.
I cannot for the life of me figure out how to make my own layouts or any of that stuff (which is why I only buy Gons now) so I have resorted to just trying to find anyone's premade hex file.

After a long time searching the only one I can find anywhere is a colemak ISO one which someone linked in a thread where someone was looking for help doing the same thing I'm trying to do.

Thankyou, if anyone can help!

Thank you for telling me about EasyAVR
It seems to work however not properly for me. I built my layout and then saved the hex and reprogrammed and all my layout works except the button I programmed as FN registers as a windows key and my right shift doesn't register but the button to the right of right shift registers as right shift however that was also meant to be FN but nothing else is accidentally registering as FN so nothing has swapped around by accident.
I really have no idea.

You can test this one out, https://github.com/jackhumbert/qmk_firmware/blob/master/keyboard/gh60/keymaps/default/compiled.hex. (Click on the "Raw" button)

This should help you debug if your issue is a software or hardware one as Easy AVR doesn't seem to be working for you (Although it should be)

Thanks! But was just reading another thread where people were mentioning there is often a problem with short right shifts/fn on the gh60 and apparently it's a hardware issue and it just fixes by swapping them around in EasyAVR.

Does anyone have a spec for Cherry 7u wire PCB and plate mounted?

I really have no idea.

You have to put the FN key in the same location on both layers.  So from base layer, you need FN1 in the same location as FN1 on the FN1 layer.

You need the standard modifiers for a pok3r. Note that if you want to cover the whole board you will also need the base kit, which includes the alphas.

You'll have some extra keys left over, as the base kit + standard modifiers is enough to cover a TKL board.

I think that would be pretty cheap. You could also pick up like a Rosewill or something for cheap then setup a Hasu USB-to-USB converter.

There are some colorful keysets like the Rainbow one at PMK but I don't see just a modifiers option listed.

Otherwise you could piece things together by ordering each piece separately and choosing the exact colors you would want but they would be blanks.

SP is the same people as PMK. Also known as Signature Plastics. PMK is their storefront that caters to the keyboarding enthusiast community. They used to have a separate marketplace site from PMK but it looks like they've migrated over to PMK completely. Not sure where else to look for that Tux cap. Maybe Techkeys.us still has some? I thought they stocked them at one point.

2.25 units width for the ANSI version, remarking just in case there is an ISO one.
