Hey guys,

Just thought to share this link with you in case anyone was in the market for a topre (realforce/hhkb) keyboard.

It is a massdrop, so even if you're just considering buying a keyboard, you can just vote and hopefully with enough votes, Massdrop will send a response to the sellers and we can get the price lowered for these expensive but oh-so-lovely keyboards.
As of writing this, I believe that there are still 307 voters needed in order for Massdrop to send a response so lets do what GH's do and try to get the best keyboards for the best price!

It's highly unlikely that this will go through as EK is the only official Topre distributer in the US, and Topre doesn't like dealing outside of Japan.

if you read the discussions theres a comment from Massdrop that they have been in contact with the leader of the vote and so far nothing.
I think the only company that might be open to something like this is Razer :\

Topre boards were on sale last month.

Not sure if that was so much a "sale" as the Yen just dropping in price and EK dropping the prices on their Topres accordingly.

Well the guys from Massdrop said they were talking to the Topre guys about a different group buy and they said they were interested so one can hope...

i would buy a topre board if they dropped down to 150 easy. i think i would rather have a realforce though. i like the hhkb but with my pokers and gh60 orders...

Unfortunately. I have been wanting to try it out, but have no idea whether it would be worth it for me, or if I even like them. The prices are too high for me to "just try"

Even if you bought one and didn't like it, you could turn around and sell it at a very minimal loss. There was a black 45g RF in classifieds for 225 shipped. Wouldn't be a bad option.

Keep your eyes peeled on places like Craigslist and Amazon used deals. I got lucky and found a Realforce 87U SILENT in like-new condition for $210 with all original packaging and accessories. Worst case scenario if I didn't like it is that I could resell it for at least $50 more than I paid

Hell, I could probably use it for 5 years and still get my money back.

...but I liked it. And I have zero buyers remorse. It's a dream coding on that thing at work all day. Variable weighting for life!!!

If you don't mind, keeping your eyes open might reveal some worthwhile deals. And I seriously doubt you will be disappointed. The MX Browns on my CM Storm Trigger (Costar) at home feel sloppy to me now.

If you knew how much they retail in Japan, you'd know $150 is quite impossible.
