This thread made me reminisce a lot of my Pump it Up days... good times!
Searched youtube for a good one for you (please excuse the hd=1):
Banya - Canon D (nice song and
bga!)
[below a geekness of mine, almost didn't post it]
There's a magic about those type of games that I think only ones who have played it know. That's because some steps (in case of Pump it Up) are rythmed to the song and some are not direclty rythmed, but they have a consitent pattern rythmed to the song (kind of "indirectly rythmed"), such that you mentally (and physically if you're playing it!) follow that "second rythm". So if you enjoy a particular song by itself, when you play it (or just watch it), the steps adds something more to it that there were not originally in the song (adding enjoyness ^^). I don't know if I made myself clear
See how's the steps of this song is nicely matched to the rythm (and to the flow!) of this rap song. It's not very fast so I think that you can follow:
Dynamic Duo - Go Back [
bga]
[also]
electro craziness!
Wi-Ex-Doc-Va
(you have to be almost an half-athlete to handle the amount of stamina and endurance required to play a song like that!)
(Wi-Ex-Doc-Va stands for Witch Doctor + Extravaganza remix)
metal craziness!
Banya - Beat of the War 2
Crash - Dignity
K-? craziness!
May - Handsome Character that Pass
Steps that follows guitar strums
Som2 - Deja Vu
Nice effect at 2m20s
HeaDTriP - Beat # No. 4
tetris 8bit + canon D + horse neigh craziness!
Yasangma... and that was the result of making me reminisce! sorry for the big post.
