So you think typing is fun?
« on: Sat, 23 March 2013, 20:30:43 »
My brother found this:

LOL wonder what kind of switches those are? Definitely clicky.

This looks so much fun. I hope these machines come to US.

I wouldn't be surprised if they're similar to the Omron switches on Beatmania cabinets. I think Jubeat was at some point supposed to hit the US, but as "Ubeat" instead.

Lol yes this is the first form of it that was shown to me...wasn't a big deal until I saw this arcade machine though :D

Omron switches do sound likely, especially since they are in Beatmania.

Gosu as fuark...I can tell this takes INCREDIBLE skill to do well. The amount focus needed to keep that pace for two and a half minutes is astounding.

Ahh Flower, I love that song on Jubeat and IIDX.

Playing it, I can say its 90% an omron switch.

EDIT: If you want it with more spread out like a keyboard:

I feel obligated to post this mockery of a chart from another Konami rhythm game, Pop'n Music (specifically, Pop'n 11 PS2):

Yup, got it on iPad since it's the only way I'll be able to play it. Buying some of the song packs tomorrow.

My only complaint is that the screen is obviously smaller. ><

This thread made me reminisce a lot of my Pump it Up days... good times!

Searched youtube for a good one for you (please excuse the hd=1): Banya - Canon D (nice song and bga!)

[below a geekness of mine, almost didn't post it]
There's a magic about those type of games that I think only ones who have played it know. That's because some steps (in case of Pump it Up) are rythmed to the song and some are not direclty rythmed, but they have a consitent pattern rythmed to the song (kind of "indirectly rythmed"), such that you mentally (and physically if you're playing it!) follow that "second rythm". So if you enjoy a particular song by itself, when you play it (or just watch it), the steps adds something more to it that there were not originally in the song (adding enjoyness ^^). I don't know if I made myself clear

See how's the steps of this song is nicely matched to the rythm (and to the flow!) of this rap song. It's not very fast so I think that you can follow: Dynamic Duo - Go Back [bga]

[also]
electro craziness!
Wi-Ex-Doc-Va
(you have to be almost an half-athlete to handle the amount of stamina and endurance required to play a song like that!)
(Wi-Ex-Doc-Va stands for Witch Doctor + Extravaganza remix)

metal craziness!
Banya - Beat of the War 2
Crash - Dignity

K-? craziness!
May - Handsome Character that Pass

Steps that follows guitar strums
Som2 - Deja Vu

Nice effect at 2m20s
HeaDTriP - Beat # No. 4

tetris 8bit + canon D + horse neigh craziness!
Yasangma

... and that was the result of making me reminisce! sorry for the big post. :p

Oh my god, **** Dignity NM. That chart is miserable. The crazy is cool, though.

I need to play Wi-Ex-Doc-Va CZ again, also. Would be nice to get an A on that again.

I did get a D rank (yay for passing) on this piece of crap, too:

Oh, you're pro :P
I'm from Pump Extra times, I'm just proud of my humble A's in Mr. Larpus FS without holding the bars and in FA + Chicken CZ (that remix is one of the best imo!). I don't know where guys get the stamina from (today's songs are just too damn crazy), I used to almost die when I played those two I mentioned ^^
Last january I played some songs and didn't have enough legs to complete a K-Pop remix in CZ :p
