Trying a new brewery tonight, although I think these have been posted before ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

I've had some different stuff from the same brewery, wasn't too impressed with it though

After having them both I actually much prefer the Gigantic IPA over the Ginormous which is nearly 2x the price. But neither particularly impressed either, nothing unique or stand-out amongst these.

I've had both of those as well and had the same feeling.
Biking is fun.

Giant as a whole is meh.

On an unrelated not, I'm sitting here sipping Prairie Christmas Bomb! and it's ****ing awesome.  Chocolate, nutmeg, some coffee, hint of cinnamon with a velvety chocolate vanilla spice finish.

Last night's beer: Prairie "Christmas Bomb".  A wonderful spiced Imperial Stout.  I love holiday stouts and this one sets the new high bar for me.  Most tend to be overly spiced or sweet and this one strikes a great balance.  Very smooth with good espresso notes and a little bit of semi sweet cocoa.  Spice on the finish is also subtle but very flavorful.

Sitting down to enjoy a great double ipa that Bromono sent me.  This thing is amazing.  Nice citrus notes and it is amazingly smooth for a double.  Not super hoppy like most west coast doubles.  I am glad these beers are hard to find here or I would go broke.

All booze makes you feel special.

I just like mine to taste good.

Unlike ramen. All that **** tastes the same.

Hahahahhaahahahhaa...

Beer is mostly a bitter liquid..

Because alcohol gets you high to a certain extent (despite the drowsiness), Eventually you associate the taste of beer Positively with the high...

Ramen is completely different,  Everything in Ramen is designed to Taste GOOD..  Starch, OIL, MSG  all distinct elements that the human taste system and receptors has evolved to seek in what constitutes a food..

Now, whether ramen is healthy.. i don't think it's realistic to say it's healthy..  but if you're saying ramen taste BAD... that's like saying the sky is not -blue...

You are at liberty to say, you're bored with how ramen taste..  but Ramen is fundamentally the DEFINITION of Great taste and that remains unchanged despite your opinion of it..

Just as Beer being a bitter liquid Tastes bad,  but because of its neurological effect will still nonetheless be associated positively.

TP, go back to your hole.

Hahahahahahaha.. and here comes the drug addicts defending their addiction..

I'm not saying beer's bad..

I'm saying beer is good..  but for reasons other than what's presented..

And that it TASTES bad..  it is mostly toxic after-all,   and if there was no toxic alcohol in it.. NO ONE would drink the stuff..

And to clarify.. Tp4 ---likes--- Beer..   but does not succumb to the DELUSIONS that it -tastes- good.

I think ya'll are getting hung up on the Definition of the word    TASTE....

When something is good..  it could be Generally good and TASTE BAD..

When one says something TASTES bad,  it does not mean it's ALL BAD...

Pirate noir

Apparently ages in Jamaican rum barrels.

Starts of super chocolatie but finishes with that vanilla rum taste.

I know for sure I can grab you some of their normal bombs and IPAs. I'll be on the search for some Christmas bombs and their noirs.

They also make great farmhouse and sour ales. Those are very easy to find if you like those types.

Nice to see a lot of prarie love.

If you are in the Tulsa area and like sours, check out American Solera... I just had their Foeder Cerise (a golden ale with brett on cherries) and it's insanely good. Kind of wish I had saved it for a special occasion!  I think they are an off-shoot or affiliated with Prarie somehow.  Looks like they do all wild aged sour beer.

Good ole' Prairie. I was at their brewery last night. If you like coffee and would like some of the new coffee they use in their beer let me know. The new roaster is a friend of mine. I just bought some stuff for the first time from him last night.

there is a difference between an addict and a hobbyist.

for example; someone might occasionally post something on some niche forum catering to their interests and be considered a hobbyist, whereas someone who say, has over ten thousand posts might be called an addict.

i reckon none of us on here are drunk/high ALL day (except perhaps fanpeople) and are able to function in their day to day

nubs, have you ever been to monkish?

I haven't, but I need to go.

Their can releases can be quite a bit of fun if you can get away in the middle of a weekday!

is it essentially tailgating while waiting in line for beer?

Most definitely! Popping bottles and sharing with others is most of the fun  :D

Heck yeah! I'll be doing that Sunday morning @ Sole Artisan. Can't wait!

cellering beer is retarded.
sell it ready to drink or go **** yourself.

i wouldn't say thaaaaat. i mean, it is ready to drink when you get it, but some beers can benefit from a little time on them. i like buying two of something that i think will do will with some age on it. try one now. try one later! :D

lol I've actually never tried it, I'm just talking **** :))

Every time I wanna put a bottle of wine away for a few years it never lasts more than a couple of months.

One of my favourite beers is back in season. I haven't had one in almost 2 years. They used to be bourbon barrel aged so I am excited to see how it will taste after just ageing in oak barrels.

Biking is fun.
