Dead pixels policy is 5...

Just the standard warning to everyone, dead pixels arn't bad if they're "not" centered...

But on "this" monitor you're gambling with $700 and not $300, with the SURE odds that there ARE some dead pixels..

IMO, everyone should wait for the Sharp 32inch 4k Monitor which will only be $5000... since it's soooooo close....

No.. you do not want to buy any of these monitors used..

It's not just about the "Panels" themselves.. there's the issue of "backlight"

even if the panel is fine, the backlight might not be "all there" after going through extended use.. or perhaps it was used in a bad environment where the monitor operated continuously without rest, thus causing more wear..

Put the monitor on full  brightness for 15mins with a 255 white background. then use a light blue background and turn the gfx control panel contrast down... on used monitors you'll notice the darker spots due to wear..

Monitors are consumables, they're not like the refrigerators that are "supposed" to last half your adult life.

You'd think that anyone who has $5K to drop on brand new tech, which is also a gamble, would have $700 to spare for one of these

I've been looking for one of these 30" monitors and the multi-input one looks enticing.  Anyone know of anybody that has done any reviews on any of these CrystalPros?

EDIT:  Btw, thanks for posting this up missalaire, also, how long are those coupon codes going to last?

No, the 5k "new" monitors are guaranteed perfect...

Also, you're very wrong about the multiple inputs...

In fact if you "were" to get a 30" the best one to get is the HPzr30 because it does not have a scalar. that's the fastest you can get..

You can have the fastest bestest lowest latency scalar,, it will not be faster than NO - Scalar.

as someone who has had 10 used monitors and next to zero issues over the last 18 months...i think i will take my chances, also...its not like you have much to fallback on with monoprice if it does die, i would not want to try and get a new one.
and you can replace backlights.

FAR better deal

10 used $1000 monitors? that's just plain silly..

I seriously don't see the draw of these "budget" options...  $300-500 more..  for a "perfect" monitor.. this is the case for both the 27" and 30"

Seriously for something that you'll probably use for 5 years... that's $100 more per year....  Most people, even poor people, waste more money than that at walmart.

How hard is it to just "Save-up" to $1000-1200... this is a very small amount of money in any occupation.

I'm not saying that releasing cheaper monitors is a bad idea... but when they're TERRIBLE products like this thing... it' really should be boycotted.

Remember with the Dell $1200 monitor, you're also getting the support and replacement policy.. that "CROSS SHIPS" and if you're super unhappy with something, you can pretty much get your money back...

with the monoprice or any other of these budget trash,, you're completely on your own, and the retailers will give you the finger as much as possible.

that HP is just used its equal quality to the dell, and the dell i bought was pretty damn close to the u3011

i sold my own monitor (u2711) and a few other things (refurb laptops etc) and got this 3007wfp

and no i havnt owned lots of thousand dollar monitors but i have had;
2x p2210, u2711, 3007wfp, 2x 2007fpb, 2007wfp,  u2142m, GNR 15", AOC 21.5", and a UMC 20" all used and no issues.

all just about half of retail price.
