I am the same. The more you get used to higher speeds, the less tolerant you get. I remember when it was normal to wait for a page to load when using a browser. That would now drive me insane. I can not even deal with it on my phone.

lol i rarely see above 750kb/s ever.

i upgraded from 2mbps line to a 8mpbs line a year ago.....then finally to a 16mbps last month. service has always been ****e up untill now, anything over 250kbps is fine with me atm.
jeeze patience guys.

i gamed on a 2mbps line and have experienced 1000ms+ pings consistently...i am the master of patience

The only problem with Comcast is you can't get good torrent speeds because of the active throttling on anything Torrent.

I feel bad for kids in areas where there's only comcast, and they want to torrent.

It not only throttles the connection, but it adds tremendous latency doing so.

I was getting 1000ms ping in-game while torrenting.. but on fios, at worst it's 130ping on the same server.

ha, had similar up/down speeds with COX last year before i left the DC area. Was paying for 25Mbit and was getting well over 110Mbit down, i never complained lol, it was fun at that speed. Cable internet has improved significantly over the last few years. i remember only getting 15Mbit in atlanta only 4 years ago.

i always use a SSL L2TP/IPSec VPN to avoid any sort of traffic monitoring and it seemed to work because for the year i was in the DC area i didn't get one complaint/letter/notice from COX and Verizon has never said anything either. could be just luck but VPN is a good idea no matter what you do on the web.

agreed on VPNs being good no matter what, but they can still see your bandwidth usage and throttle you if you overuse.
