Where can I buy model M stabilizers?
« on: Sun, 05 May 2013, 20:48:02 »
I backspace modded my model f and am missing stabilizers from my model M now

I just need to buy two, is there a site that sells them?

Not the wire kind, but the kind that go into the barrels

Also is there anywhere to buy flat windows keys for realforce boards? I hate the bubbled ones that come on RF 87Us

Yeah email them, they will tell you what to put down to order it from their site.

I made my own from a wire hanger in about 10 minutes:

21191-021193-1

It's not even exactly correct, but when using it I cannot tell the difference.  I had to go through a few keyboard to find it, forgot which one it was in.

Ooops, you're talking about the barrel inserts.  Oh well, leaving this here anyway...

Unicomp sent me 4 vertical black inserts for free so I could use their numpad "+" and "enter" keys on my Model M's that used wires for those. But both the horizontal white inserts and vertical black inserts don't show up on their site for some reason. Also remember to make sure of the orientation for the inserts before you push them in as it is quite hard to get them back out if you screw up.
