E3 2013 was awesome!
« on: Mon, 10 June 2013, 23:07:28 »
So far all the trailers I've seen are freaking awesome!

BF4, The Crew, Halo 5, Thief 4, Watch Dogs, MGS 5, Quantum Break, Tom Clancy's The Division.
Star Wars Battlefront, Mirrors Edge 2 (teasers but still good)

If you haven't watched them, I highly recommend all of the above.

Some were console exclusives (like The Division which blew my mind) but overall with the next gen consoles around the corner this year's E3 was pretty amazing.
Games like The Last of Us and The Division seriously makes me consider getting a console even though I don't play that many games any more.

The Division looks awesome. Trailer for those that haven't seen it:

I hope it comes out on PC so it looks as good as it does in the trailer.

Yes indeed it was awesome! !
I missed the halo 5 and the Thief 4 part, but I was really impressed by the witcher and got excited by the battlefront teaser

AC black flag demo during the sony press conference is epic fail though, it lags a lot and crashed at the end.

Also I feel like Xbox ONE just got completely destoryed by the offers from sony about PS4 gaming policies (monthly fees for games and all that), but who knows what will happen!

And WHAT can POSSIBLY go wrong?!

GTA V didn't make an appearance I think but it's one of my most anticipated games as well. They say uncertain for PC but I know they will eventually port it and come out may be mid next year.

Both Battlefield 4 (ermahgerd commander mode. more and more like BF2 on a newer engine!) and TC:The Division interests me. Just FYI, The Division is on uPlay, so there's a chance that it'll be on PC.

Also WatchDogs, but BF4 Multiplayer's looks extremely appealing, especially the fact that you can control Commander mode with a Tablet. It makes sense to me.

No surprise thus far. Sony won over Microsoft. Watchdogs looks amazing. The Last Guardian still doesn't have a release date. Today was only the PRESS CONFERENCE. E3 hasn't really even started. Very predictable and droll so far considering everything worth mentioning was announced during their individual announcements months/weeks ago. E3 is really a formality nowadays, a shadow of it's former self.

BTW: The PS4 and One both look ugly as all sin. Giant angular black boxes that just spit in the face of sleek modern designs for a hideous 1980's look.

The streams of both confrences should be available on their respective websites (PS4/XBOX ONE) and today's press conference ought to be available somewhere I imagine.

I was surprised by the FF Versus announcement, I thought they cancelled the project but instead the did an entire reboot of the original design. Not that I really care about FF anymore, just caught me offguard.

Anyone notice at the start of the BF4 trailer? You have to buy Premium for the sound :)) (And Microsoft's card had just bounced)

But I thought E3 was Meh until Battlefront and I felt feels I haven't felt for many years; I think 2013-14 is going to be epic.

Also anyone hear about the Source 2 Engine? Apparently being shown over the next 2 days and we all know what that means!

Valve does not announce titles until a week or two before they are absolutely ready to launch. There will be no trailer, there will be no conference. There will just be the PM's nodding in approval that everything is in the right place and some press releases. It's the way it is, and so shall it always be - "It will be released when it's done."

On that front I really seperate couch gaming and chair gaming when it comes to social interaction. Not only have I had almost exclusively bad experiences with online gaming via console, but with a controller in my hand I want to be in the dark, alone, with the windows shut, and my pants off. With PC gaming I find some (definitely not all, but certainly more than on XBL) of the people to be a bit more mature and easier to communicate with and therefore are more open to social gaming on the PC.

What I'm not looking forward to is that 'Annoy all your friends button' on the PS4 controller which will undoubtly sprout 10million new ****ty YouTube gaming channels overnight.

PC MASTER RACE HUEHHUEHUEHEHU!

But yeh, if I was to get one of the two, I'd definitely go for the PS4 despite being a huge Xbox fan throughout it's run. Xbox One just has thrown it for me. I do love the look of Deadrising 3 but I won't just get the Xbox One for that.

Same here. it looks good, even if its "innovations" are gimmicky. I still want to remove the rumble packs, though.

Even though the PS4 looks to have bearbacked the xbone into a horrible hole... I don't really see any point in per-ordering... nothing that was shown at e3 looks good enough for the investment... and all the really good **** isn't out till next year anyway... I mean damn the PS3 line up for the rest of the year is kinda insane;

The Last of Us
Grand Theft Auto 5
Gran Turismo 6

...the indie stuff is cool... but Ima wait till there is a reason (a game) to upgrade to the next gen...
