Surely the Gods gave Pandora curiosity but not eyes, as what was left in her box after the evanescence of evil was not Elipida for mankind, it was indeed The Ergodox.

A gift from Zeus… the one glimmer, the one shred of kindness that exists amidst the unassailable death which greets us around all corners.

We may not yet have the answer to life’s questions. But as to our arduous barefoot journey through it all..

Well, while you can still change your order,  remember that the full hand is more difficult to do Tenting, because the wrist part gets in the way..

So I should stay with full hand if I can’t make custom wrist rest?

depends on how much tenting you intend to do.

The higher up your table surface is relative to your shoulders  the less tenting you will need.

If your table surface is slightly above your elbows, then it is more comfortable to use EXTREME tenting. 35 to 40 degrees.


For extreme tenting, the full hand would be harder to set up vs the classic.

but if your table surface is high up.. then it doesn't matter which one you get.

If you want a wrist rest but don't want to have to make one yourself or get someone else to make you one then the full hand might be a better option.

I am considering changing my order as while I like having the option to make a custom wrist rest, I don't know how I'd go about doing so, and getting a custom one from The_Beast(if he even makes eDox rests) or someone else will likely be expensive as I'm located on the wrong side of the pond.

This is not true..

You can setup a gaming layer, which would cater to most games.

I have a layer I use for FPS, and another layer for ONLY starcraft 2.


If you play a million different other games, you're likely a casual gamer, in which case, you're not that serious about gaming anyway.. so none of this matters...

There will truly be something to learn when there is some possibility of getting a laptop with a split, unstaggered positioning.

Until then, it seems wiser to put one's effort into learning a layout that's better than Qwerty.

8 days ago..I can type 130 on my laptop...and 50 on my ergodox

Today I can type 110 on my ergodox.. and I can still type 130 on my laptop...

i dunno, i dont think doxist would be right, Dox, a geekhack/deskthority member who was a founder in all this, had other keyboards designed other than the ErgoDox, they were called the Dox as well. dunno, maybe something else.

Point is.. excessive internet heroics used to cause wrist and shoulder pain.. these problems have been completely resolved by extreme tenting and splitting.

What you do, traveling, is like going to the library to read "real books"...  are there merits to it... Yes, I agree there are..

But..... because your time is limited, the info-sphere can give you MOST of the information at dramatically reduced time-cost.


The world hasn't been made smaller, it has been made more accessible,  and anyone who dwells in the past and choose not to fully take advantage of this is the hopeless cave man.
