I keep trying to get more into pure green teas, but I always end up coming back to fruity and floral green tea blends, and Tetley for daily drinking. Need to get out of my Tetley habit and get back into brewing some of my delicious green teas!
My favourite 'tea' is probably Cheonji Dew or Snow Dew Tea. It's a Korean tea that I first bought in Seoul, and it's made from Hydrangea leaf. Extremely sweet naturally with a sweet aftertaste, I enjoy adding a leaf to a pot of one of my green tea blends to give it that pleasant lingering sweetness. I've never found it locally or even found a specialty store that knew what I was talking about, but it can be bought on eBay.
Most of my other favourites are fruity or floral blends with names like "Geisha Blossom", "Japanese Treasures", and "Pink Flamingo".
As for more traditional teas, I do enjoy Genmaicha or a good breakfast blend Earl Grey.
