"Because keyboards are accessories to PC makers, they focus on minimizing the manufacturing costs. But that’s incorrect. It’s in HHKB’s slogan, but when America’s cowboys were in the middle of a trip and their horse died, they would leave the horse there. But even if they were in the middle of a desert, they would take their saddle with them. The horse was a consumable good, but the saddle was an interface that their bodies had gotten used to. In the same vein, PCs are consumable goods, while keyboards are important interfaces." - Eiiti Wada

I've heard they put strange things on pizza in Sweden  :-X
The worst example I have seen had tenderloin, bearnaise sauce, curry powder, banana and peanuts, but it is unusual. Döner kebab meat pizza is quite common.
But most people have the classics: tomato sauce and cheese with mushrooms or ham, or both.

I've heard that there are also quite weird pizzas in Japan. Beef curry seems to be common there.

Those ingredients are increasingly bizarre.. some of which combine well with another or two.. but all together?? I am doubtful.. Bernaise instead of tomato sauce or as a drizzle on top?

I would be interested in trying the kebab variety, that doesn't sound too strange but I hear its also common for pizza to be served with a sort of coleslaw.. Have you ever had curry on pizza? It seems popular

As you know, I love peanut butter and banana together (with a little honey on toast is great snack)... and I've definitely seen a peanut sauce served with all kinds of meats, but banana + tenderloin or tomato sauce sounds revolting

Did you have any strange combinations in China?

You get really weird pizza in china, it's like either not real cheese, or modified cheese.. IDK what'sup with that..

But when they do get out a normal pizza, it's very small and thin..

Nothing like 'Murica.. with that 1.5 inch thick slab of sponge cheese.. ..

Was trying to bake a Sachertorte ... The glacing turned out crumbly but I laid it on anyway. It is now a crumbly chocolate fudge cake.
Will cover the mistakes by decorating it with whipped cream tomorrow.

Baked a meringue cake for my mother's birthday. Made the "sponge" bottoms with almond flour and filled it with sweet white chocolate mousse instead of regular cream, to give it sturdiness and to offset the tartness of the raspberries that I also filled it with.

I had Taco Bell delivered. Not the healthiest food out there, but the fact that I have no car and delivery is now available in my area made for a nice change of pace. I did go lighter though and had a couple of their relatively small chicken and rice burritos (which they once called the Spicy Chicken burrito) instead of something bigger; this had the bonus of saving me a few bucks and still filling me up.
Keyboards: Drevo Gramr (Outemu Browns); Logitech K480 (membrane chiclets)
Past Keyboards: Rosewill RK-9000BR (MX Browns); Rosewill RK-9000 (MX Blues); emachines KB-0108 (dome over membrane); random IBM dome over membrane
Played with: Rosewill RK-9000I (MX Blues); IBM Model M (BS); Unicomp Ultra Classic w/ Large Print (BS)

Rode my bike too fast down a slope and the breaks did not take well... and I ran right into a stand of wild raspberries.
Got a couple of cuts on my left leg but not much else. The bike seems fine too.

Stupid stupid stupid of me to not pay attention to road conditions and take the slope too fast.
But on the other hand, if I hadn't done it I would not have found raspberries.

When I was in New Jersey I enjoyed hiking the South Mountain Reservation near South Orange, and on top of the "mountain" (a big hill to someone raised in the Appalachians) was a huge field of raspberries that fruited for about 2 weeks in late June.

But what’s wrong with inequality, anyway? Answers to this question are rarely satisfying, but they do serve as a political litmus test about the kind of inequality that matters. A Marxist might concern herself with how economic inequality divides society into classes, allowing capitalists to wield wealth as a weapon, disempower workers, and extract their labor. The humanitarian position tends to prioritize sufficiency of resources and basic rights; feminists, environmentalists, and advocates for the undocumented, the disabled, and minorities would say social inequalities matter, too, and that part of the problem with economic inequality is that it reinforces them.
New research has shown us that economic, social, racial, and gender inequality are inextricably linked—and that the effect of high inequality is to create even more inequality. Many other economists have shown that high levels of inequality hurt democracy because, among other things, they allow rich people and corporations to buy the support of politicians.

(...)Whereas back then I wrote about the tyranny of the majority, today I'd combine that with the tyranny of the minorities. These days, you have to be careful of both. They both want to control you. The first group, by making you do the same thing over and over again. The second group is indicated by the letters I get from the Vassar girls who want me to put more women's lib in The Martian Chronicles, or from blacks who want more black people in Dandelion Wine.
I say to both bunches, Whether you're a majority or minority, bug off! To hell with anybody who wants to tell me what to write. Their society breaks down into subsections of minorities who then, in effect, burn books by banning them. All this political correctness that's rampant on campuses is b.s.

While waiting for my lost luggage to show up (48 hours after I landed home), and the internet/tv went out, I thought it'd be a perfectly good time to restore and convert the M0110 that I've had for a little while.
