Looking for a keyboard under 75$

Hey guys,
I am looking for a keyboard with MX Brown that's under 75$ (inc shipping).
As I live outside of the US (Israel), if I buy something for 75$ (or more) on the internet, I have to pay 18% tax - what makes these expensive keyboards even more unaffordable... Anything under is tax free  :D
Anyways, I know it's hard to find a good MX Brown that cheap.. I only found Xarmor U9 (I know it's not the best, but it's OK as my first mechanical keyboard) for 74$ inc shipping:

Do you know about any other keyboard I can buy for this price? I don't mind Tenkeyless Keyboards or used ones..

That is a big ask for something of reasonable quality at that price.

You could try HPE TKL for $67 plus postage.  I do not know what postage would be to you.

The problem is that for that price you aren't going to get something that's going to last you. I just looked on the CM Storm website and they seem to have two distributors in Israel:

However their websites are in hebrew (I think?) so I couldn't really tell if they offered the Quickfire for example. If they don't have it in their catalog send them a e-mail maybe, the Quickfire shouldn't be too expensive and is a good keyboard overall. If you don't like the look maybe go for a Quickfire Stealth.

Keep an eye on CMStorm. I think the're doing some sort o summer cleaning and prepare for a refresh.
I can now get QFR (red or black) locally for ~75$ equiv.

Go ERgoDox...

We already KNOW that the Ergodox is so superior in terms or -ergonomic design- that there is no reason to try any other keyboard.

yea, I wanted this keyboard, but unfortunately postage is +22$  :(

So, u say I shouldn't buy the Xarmor U9? I thought it's a decent keyboard for newbie...

It's not a mechanical keyboard, but a rubber-capped one. The tactile response from this keyboard should feel like a looser version of the cherry mx brown switches.. What do you say about it?

Anyways, this company also makes a mechanical keyboard (as the one above is more a gaming keyboard):

You could buy a 10$ Logitech then if you would want a rubberdome. It doesn't really make a difference. Also, if the product description contains words like "super cool" it probably wont be "super cool".

These Cherry MX switches look like faked ones to me. The colors of the sliders are a bit off and the part of the housing with the Cherry logo looks too big (especially on the brown). Quality will probably not be what you would expect. You get what you pay for.

I say again, save up a month, invest a bit more and get something decent.

What do they tax you on when the item is used? There is usually no receipt. I assume by the customs form? And if so, then couldn't you buy a used board (for possibly more than your thread suggests) and ask the seller to mark it as a lower value?

Get a QFR for $79.99 it's worth that $5 over-budget. It has a costar board so top quality.

A couple weeks back, Amazon had Quickfire Rapids for $45 after rebate. Keep an eye out.

HPE 87 cherry mx brown is the best. I love using it, way more than my CM QFR Blue or Red.  I love how it comes already lubed and the keystrokes are smooth as silk. It also comes with a red ESC key, blue WASD, and purple Arrow keys.  It's probably gonna outlast anything I have except for my Topre.

Trust me, you can't go wrong with it.

Cooler Masters occasionally dip below this price point, and would probably be a decent board.

However, as an alternate solution, I would suggest that you might be able to piece together an ErgoDox and keep each purchase under the $75 cap, since the PCB, case, keycaps, teensy, etc should all be under $75 (please correct me if I'm mistaken). The catch here is that I'm unsure if piecemealing a solution together in this fashion would be more expensive than simply waiting for the kit on Massdrop. That would just depend upon how much the group buy was saving you vs the 18% tax.
