Movies that made you laugh...
« on: Fri, 23 August 2013, 19:25:19 »
...when they shouldn't have.

For me, the funniest "serious" movie I ever saw was probably The Happening.  I was cracking up the entire time I saw the movie.  I think I laughed hardest at the part with the boarded up cabin where the kid got shot.

I think it was Jason X when he beats one of the girls against a tree while she was in a sleeping bag. I don't think I ever laughed so hard in my life, I'm laughing just thinking about.

i think it's safe to say we weren't suppose to laugh during tobey mcguire's emo scene in spiderman 3(i think?)

not only was it funny, but cringe worthy.
No, he’s not around. How that sound to ya? Jot it down.

I laughed a lot during Starship Troopers 2, but I'm pretty sure that was a comedy.

Peter Parker emo made me question if it really happened or if it was just in my head.
It was SO wierd and awkward.

If you want cringe, weird and awkward, take a look at "The Room". Possibly the most natural dialogue written by man.

Yeah, but everyone laughs at The Room.  It's up there with movies like Tremors for comic gold.

Also, skeleton man. When out of ammo, better turn around. If you can't see it, it can't see you. Also, if you freezeframe, you will see the head being replaced by a watermelon when it is hit.

Just watched "Rapture Palooza"

Solid mindless bad jokes and riffs.

India makes lots and lots of movies.

It must take much more to entertain the general viewers.

Did you see it at Voddler (video on demand site in Sweden)?
A few years ago, I worked there as a software programmer. Whenever we needed to test something in the player or on the web site, or to show off a feature to other people, we used Skeleton Man as our test movie ... because it was sooo bad. The movie was our standing joke.
Maybe you had seen it because you had found it in the "Top 10 list" of watched movies... Sorry about that. ;)

Anchorman. Funniest movie ever. Also, pretty much any movie with Will Ferrell. There are others, as I love comedy, but Anchorman is my most favorite comedy, and probably my most favorite movie ever.

edit: So I misread. Oh well, this stands. I've laughed at tons of movies when I shouldn't have, but I'm not a nice person, so...

We actually rented a physical copy back when that was still a thing. We didn't know how bad it was. It ended up becoming one of my favorite movies. I even bought a copy of the DVD a year ago which I keep in the shelf, still sealed, for nostalgia purposes.

Thank you for introducing more people to the wonder that is Skeleton Man.
