Pretty happy with todays purchase
« on: Wed, 28 August 2013, 23:08:12 »
I'm currently on a trip to taiwan and asked my friends to take me out, having some spare money left i remembered Ducky is a Taiwanese brand so after searching everywhere for it i have finally finally found the tenkeyless 9087 shine 2 cherry mx browns with purple Led's for only 2400 TWD which works out to be around £50?
Played on it well just testing and i can say its gonna be the best keyboard ive used and will take back to UK with me leaving the steelseries 7G and the Razerblackwidow 2013 in Hong Kong unless i decide to take it back to UK (which i highly doubt due to the amount of room i have in my luggage already) to sell on ebay.  ;D ;D

Because none of them was using ErgoDox?
"Because keyboards are accessories to PC makers, they focus on minimizing the manufacturing costs. But that’s incorrect. It’s in HHKB’s slogan, but when America’s cowboys were in the middle of a trip and their horse died, they would leave the horse there. But even if they were in the middle of a desert, they would take their saddle with them. The horse was a consumable good, but the saddle was an interface that their bodies had gotten used to. In the same vein, PCs are consumable goods, while keyboards are important interfaces." - Eiiti Wada

If you have the time can you not harvest the switches from your other 2 boards?  They are the only valuable pieces anyway really.
unless they have some unforeseeable downside (like they're actually made of cream cheese cunningly disguised as ABS)

I only say that because the Keyboards arn't worth much here, although maybe a bit more on eBay. Also I was thinking space wise, switches take up less space in luggage.

Ahhh man sorry bro i didnt quite check out the other keyboards it was a local store in the computer area in Taiwan, because when i got there i played on all the razer and CM keyboards, tried out all sorts of different cherry mx's uncluding green white and grey? It was on this cherry mx tester  and then I saw the shine 2 which was the point where my eyes lit up and i didn't quite notice anything else except the shine 2 hahahahaa :D

Or hey, sell them to someone here before you go back? May be able to get a quick sale, then ship before you head out.
