Stand-ins for Caps Lock and Insert?

So Caps Lock and Insert are basically worthless, as far as I'm concerned. I was wondering if anyone might have recommendations for useful alternate mappings for them.

I've up with ideas like using the Insert key to open a new web browser (and that's what I'm currently using it for), but that seems kind of lame and doesn't actually come up that often—also, I can use OS-level shortcuts, since my browser is pinned to my taskbar anyway. I was wondering if anyone uses these for anything more common, or that might enhance productivity more.

I use AutoHotKey, so pretty much anything is up for grabs.

I remap caps lock to control. Don't use insert, so no suggestions there

Everyone else I know who use the capslock method is slow as ****...

So I actually decided on something rather off-the-wall for that miscreant Insert key: I mapped the em dash to it!

I actually use em dashes all the time in writing and currently whenever I want to do this outside of Word (which will automatically turn a "--" into an "—") I have to go through the slightly ridiculous process of pressing LAlt + 0151 (and it only works if you use the NumPad). Absurdly enough, this has been the main thing keeping me from trying a TKL keyboard (or at least a TLK plus a separate numpad that I stash away for occasional input of large sets of numeric data). Now, I can easily switch to an 80% and, combined with the US-International layout, I can enter any character I ever regularly use.

Anyway, I realize this is a slightly batty choice, but there you are.

Still haven't found any use for that damned CapsLock yet though. I'll post here if I come up with anything interesting. Still open to suggestions!
