It's ok though, the new patch will make it so Protoss can't be aggressive without a robo. That'll make the game better.

anyone playing the beta?

nope, I was excited when I got in, but after installing it I played like 5 games and never touched it again.

the tournament features etc. are nice, but I'd rather wait for the release. Doesn't really make sense to train something, if everything is changed every other week....

I've been playing around with it via archon mode with a mate, playing random, shockingly Zerg plays alot like protoss terran im pretty terrible with though...

but the new patch is pretty mental haha

Yeah, it's pretty odd and making extra queens to spread creep to then have them auto inject is pretty dumb... Was also thinking now, whats the point as Terran in making orbitals? If you make a PF and add missile turrets your base is on lockdown lol

They should simplify this entire genre..

Let you pick the troops and your base setup..

and just let you guys launch waves at each other..

kinda like boom beach,,  but none of that pay wall waiting stuff

I thought brutal was already easy mode in Starcraft.

Let's hope they make it challenging this time  ;)

WCS Blizzcon finals incoming... I do wish they could get all 16 players to Blizzcon instead of this Burbank studio stuff again. Hopefully we'll get a lot more info on the unrevealed details about LotV. Would imagine Blizzcon is the moment to reveal those since everyone interested in Blizzard in general will be watching and there's only a couple of weeks to release.

Johan you must be pretty hyped about lotv, the last Zerg expansion. It's pretty cool that finally the Zerg get an expansion where they get pretty broken stuff to make up for all the broken stuff Protoss and Terran got in wol and hots; like BL/infestor, swarm hosts etc etc it's pretty cool IMO that they are giving you some fun at the start anyway before they balance it.

We still don't know how exactly the co-op mode works, although some more information about it was just released.  People who were at the Blizzard summit such as IncontroL have referred to there still being other unrevealed stuff. He strongly hinted that people will be able to make their own automated tournaments for example. I suspect that's not all of it.

Did I miss a beta update? The last time I looked at it automated tournaments (in a rough form) were definitely in, but you couldn't make a custom one for your friends or anything like that. You can just join the ones that keep happening.

A bit late, but WCS Global Finals is live and will be going on for a few more matches! Just one match with a result that could be considered an upset so far, that result made me a bit sad.

Too bad the ro16 is again in a studio and half the players never get to the Blizzcon stage, but at least their studio is sleek. I think last year it wasn't nearly as nice.

Anyone else tuning in?

Honestly hots zvp sucks ass. Any early aggression relies on the toss not making a sentry or 3. Can't pull the game into the later stages either cus then your army is worse if they tech up or if they stay on lower tech their army is just so much more mobile. And if you play a little too greedy during the mid game you get rolled by +2 blink stalkers. Not to mention all the 4 billion all ins that you need to memorize.

This is fkn' stupid..

If blizzard just released the damn game, all the stuff, no xpansions,   then STOPPED changing stuff around,

The game would be much more developed in terms of play.

What exactly are the players "practicing" for,  when it's a completely different game every few months.

Never said anything about balance or the finals, it just how the matchup plays out. Obviously life lost the last game cus he tried to transition out of an all in that didn't end the game. Its playable, just not fun.

No life lost because he let sOs scout his all in from pretty early on.
ZvP/PvZ is the best it has ever been as the game is pretty even though-out the early, mid and late game. No more OH **** I HAVE TO KILL THEM WITH AN ALL IN BEFORE BL/IF or SH/CR... I mean all that will change thanks to the new ultra's and lurkers but in HotS it's pretty fair.

What? How do you deny someone from probe scouting on a 4 player map? I guess you can block the ramp, but if they know where you are and you don't have an expo started by 2:40 its either a 13-12 14-14 with or without banes or some stupid roach stuff. And with a that early forge you have a almost a build win assuming you see the lack of expo.

The kill before they get there role has been given to zerg now. Obviously its not as bad because toss takes a longer time to build the un-killable army compared to swarmhost+static or bl infestor and zerg has more midgame options than toss. Although a lot of them lead to you dying to +2 blink stalkers.
