yep. I can't find what the storage capacity is on that model though. All I know is that it starts at $899 with specs unknown and can be configured up to $1,799 for 8 gigs of RAM and a 512 gig SSD.

I can't wait to get a job so that I can get enough money to buy this. I'm drawn to it by the wacom stylus and the KB covers. I want to try to give the cover ML switches. Probably never gonna happen, but still...

Why are there no third-party covers for the Microsoft Surface? I have only found third-party keyboards for the Surface and it used Bluetooth.

they don't need to, if the surface gets popular enough, 3rd party makers out of China will make stuff for it

Also, the previous surface pro got around 2-4 hours of "serious use".

The new one should get 4-6..   That should be more than enough..

I agree, personally (can't stress that enough) I don't really have a use for tablets.  Sure it's a slick piece of hardware, but personally I would always be carrying a (real) keyboard with it...so I might as well have a laptop.

But for this to take off, it needs to be implemented all throughout the line, or developers will only cater to the lowest common denominator.

I can see where you're coming from, but if there was a pen on the RT, then we'd get even more stylus capable apps developed, which is better for everyone. It wouldn't be very useful right now, but down the road it could very well be a defining feature.

I also think that windows RT is kinda useless. I think that MS should switch their low end tablets to Bay Trail and full windows 8. The performance wouldn't be the best, but then again, is it the best on the current RT?

Whenever I tried the pen on a Galaxy Note, the pen lag was ridiculous and the apps crashed more than once during the same session. For me, that is what makes the pen a gimmick on the Galaxy Note.

There's that, and then there's the fact that there just plain weren't enough apps to take advantage of the pen. Combine that with a creaky plastic body and a subpar screen, and you've got yourself a failure.

the Pen is a niche because it is a 2 step vs a 1 step. 

take out phone, use it

for the pen use, it takes 100% more effort, there has to be something that justify this expense for the user..

Outside of drawing, there isn't anything that would be "easier" with the pen.
