Woke up to find my PS account hacked and my bank account drained from digital purchases.
I got it all taken care of but all my bank accounts are frozen until next week, which means I can't access my money for my birthday.
Starting off strong this year. I keep saying "How can next year possible be worse than the last?" but each year keeps outdoing itself, it's amazing.

I love my PS3 to death though, out of all the consoles I have it's easily the one I use the most. PS3 had such a strong library, I'll be playing catchup for a decade.

Went out to do some shopping today and people are legitimately freaking out over the Corona. I'm unsure if the panic is justified, so I'm still going about things as normal.
Well, maybe I'm washing my hands more now.

I impulse-bought an adjustable bed on a sale. In other words ... more expensive than a regular bed but I can't return it if I don't like it, and I don't think I will. Just a waste of money.

What?
CORONAVIRUS is evolving!

Heard an interview with a legit infectious disease specialist who recommended the movie "Contagion" (2011) as probably the most realistic depiction of what a hardcore pandemic could look like, so I watched it.

Not pretty, happy, or comforting in the slightest even though some of the main characters did manage to survive.

"I never understood wind. I know windmills very much, I have studied it better than anybody. I know it is very expensive. They are made in China and Germany mostly, very few made here, almost none, but they are manufactured, tremendous if you are into this tremendous fumes and gases are spewing into the atmosphere. You know we have a world, right? So the world is tiny compared to the universe. So tremendous, tremendous amount of fumes and everything. You talk about the carbon footprint, fumes are spewing into the air, right spewing, whether it is China or Germany, is going into the air.
A windmill will kill many bald eagles. After a certain number, they make you turn the windmill off, that is true. By the way, they make you turn it off. And yet, if you killed one, they put you in jail. That is OK. But why is it OK for windmills to destroy the bird population?"

It smells like literal garbage when my coworkers eat their lunches at theirs desks.

Why does food smell so bad when I'm not the one eating it? Or maybe they just eat stinky crap.
Maybe they're waiting for gasmasks and latex to get sexy again.

The world has become a weird place.

If you think about most meats, and cheese,  It's essentially Corpse smell. and people eat that.

Taste is co-linked with many other triggers/ reward. It's not linearly good or bad.

Though now that we know animal products = straight up cancer, It's probably time we rewrote some common sensibilities.

I am usually at least OK with most of it, but re-heated fish is always a bad idea in the office.

Steamed ocean fish isn't so bad,    Tuna though. Any river fish, the smell is unbearable

I have declined a job because they didn't have seating in the kitchen area for everyone and had encouraged workers to eat at their desks.

According to the TV series, "The Good Place" there is a special place in Hell for people who do that.

I think, in this particular case, it was a wrap from a Korean place downstairs. It looked like bulgogi and maybe some kimchi in a tortilla. I've had food from that place before, and it tastes all right, but it definitely has a distinct smell (the bibimbap has a rubber/tire smell IIRC).

But there was another guy who microwaved the yield of his Sunday meal prep every day, and it was rank. Fortunately, we're separated by a wall now.

Haha!  I've been cycling through town with no mask 5 or 6 days a week and will be going to a friends house tonight along with a waitress (as I have every weekend) - if I'm not healthy enough to survive a crappy virus so be it.  Can't be as bad as the brain rot I survived last year!

I got fired yesterday...

The day before that, a city garbage truck rear ended my PARKED car in the middle of the parking lot...

The past two weeks I have been dealing with a Crohn's flare up...

And on top of all that, at the end of January all my credit accounts, bank account, and PayPal accounts were all compromised somehow, and I've been dealing with the fallout from that ever since...

It's been rough for CLiB recently...

Oh, and speaking of internet, my 2Gbps fiber internet is no more as of yesterday; the contract ended and they wanted to increase the price by ~1/3rd, so it was ultimately decided to cancel it for now until there is another promo released for it...

Now I'm down to a measly 300Mbps down an a pitiful 10Mbps up...

I made my first two sales on eBay last week. The first guy paid instantly, but the second guy still hasn't paid coming up on five days later, even after I nudged him by sending an invoice. How long should I wait to raise a stink?

How long should I wait

Read the rules. The only way that ebay will side with a seller is if he has followed the rules to the letter.

That said, I thought that payment was due within 3 days, but I may be wrong.

In any case, send the buyer a message and state that if you have not received payment within "X" hours, you will cancel the sale and re-list the item.

As long as you're still living with your ex you will never be allowed to move on. Can you imagine bringing someone home while your ex is there? Hopefully you don't still share the same bed.

She is probably extremely physically attractivo.  So, it's give and take.

Still living with an ex for convenience but I've developed feelings for someone and feel like I can't pursue it.

I used to work with two people who dated/were ex's, but still slept in the same bed. The girl was ugly af and he was just living with her to save money and because the sex was convenient. He was better looking, but ultimately lazy. Cut to 6 years later and they are still 'not dating' but still living and sleeping together. You need to physically leave/detach from the other person otherwise you'll never move on.

It's ok for us to make snide remarks and guesses @ the drama of the situation.

But it may be inappropriate to offer relationship advice. They have licenses for that sorta thing.

Bottom right is a coworker, ex has been sleeping at his apartment for the last 3 weeks or so. Ex is more attractive but I'm getting to that point of my life where attraction is less important than everything else.

All the pieces are in place then.

Oxytocin, (pair bonding neuro-chemical), occurs at roughly 4x the concentration in females vs males.

The females will always have trouble letting go (relative) to their male partners.

It would seem from your description that You've already made the decision.  We certainly understand that you want to pace the situation as a considerate-Gesture to your ex.

It looks like a done deal though.

I mean what bothers me is that ex can't make up her mind. She hates me like 50% of the time and then 50% of the time she says she still loves me. I've basically made the decision as you've said but I'm kind of stuck at the moment.

I'm sorry you have to go through all  :-X
(...)Whereas back then I wrote about the tyranny of the majority, today I'd combine that with the tyranny of the minorities. These days, you have to be careful of both. They both want to control you. The first group, by making you do the same thing over and over again. The second group is indicated by the letters I get from the Vassar girls who want me to put more women's lib in The Martian Chronicles, or from blacks who want more black people in Dandelion Wine.
I say to both bunches, Whether you're a majority or minority, bug off! To hell with anybody who wants to tell me what to write. Their society breaks down into subsections of minorities who then, in effect, burn books by banning them. All this political correctness that's rampant on campuses is b.s.
