Title says it all...so far I've only been able to find the Blackwidow and CM Storm Trigger, but I have reservations about both.

Trigger is not unreasonable.

What are you r reservations?
"Because keyboards are accessories to PC makers, they focus on minimizing the manufacturing costs. But that’s incorrect. It’s in HHKB’s slogan, but when America’s cowboys were in the middle of a trip and their horse died, they would leave the horse there. But even if they were in the middle of a desert, they would take their saddle with them. The horse was a consumable good, but the saddle was an interface that their bodies had gotten used to. In the same vein, PCs are consumable goods, while keyboards are important interfaces." - Eiiti Wada

Frankly, the Trigger's ugly. Superficial, I know :)

You may be able to find a Qpad MK-85 with blue switches somewhere, although it has no macro keys it does have macro capability. Its not a great looker really either though, and most seem to be red or blacks. The lower models look the similar but lack the macros.

If it suits your designs, a gamepad/number pad with macros and a normal keyboard may allow you to be more flexible, but I appreciate its not for everyone and can be pricey for an MX pad. I swapped to a G13 and a TKL and it has allowed me much more variety in keyboard choice without losing me my macro powers, albeit without the macro MX.

People are going to eat me up over this, but I have a BW Tournament Edition which I am quite fond of. You may want to look into it. No shiny finish, no back lighting, just the basic stuff. And it's a well built board. Not Filco or anything, but I still think it holds it's own.

What kind of reservations?

But I would recommend the poker II, a lot of people are talking about how good this mech is and the programmability. I too thought to buy one later on, but on second thought I want a Noppoo Choc Mini or the GH75 ^^

I suspect this as well....

No true Geekhack-er would ever RECOMMEND a razer... EVEN if he has one....  ESPECIALLY not so if he has one....

I'd recommend a blackwidow. Build quality is FINE. I stress the word fine. It's nothing special, but it is fine. It won't break on you, it's fine. It has better build quality than a QPAD (iOne rebranded) and its quality is on par with the trigger at least. It's cheap, and it has the features you want.

Just pick it up. No regrets.

Right.

And I specifically said "Blackwidow Tournament Edition" - those are not made by iOne. If people would actually take an extra second to actually read posts and not skim..

The build quality is perfectly decent. After all, you're not going to be playing baseball with it. It's damn keyboard. I'm sure my Model F would break too if I tossed it out of my 5th floor window. If he wanted a 60% I would have said Poker II, but he wants Blues and macros, so the TE is not a bad choice.

Don't bash a specific board without even trying it first. That's just irritating.

Thanks for the replies, everyone.

The Poker sounds nice; 60% is a bonus. It has macros, yes? Unfortunately, I can only find red and brown switch versions :(

Exactly, they aren't made by iOne anymore (ever since the 2013 and TE models) but by Solid Year and the soldering itself looks better than the CM Storm Trigger's.

Razer BW TE:

CM Storm Trigger:

Sure, it's a valid choice, as well as the CM Storm Trigger too.
