FDA TO PHASE OUT TRANS FATS

So, do you support the banning phasing out of trans fats from foods? It appears that the Food & Drug Administration does.

why do you guys look at bans this way..

The ban is to prevent lead poisoning..  it's not a violation of your rights, or at all them telling you what to do...

It's just them banning OBVIOUSLY poisonous substances from mass consumption..

If lucas chili/sour made a new powder without lead, it'd be approved all the same.

Obviously, I'm not going to get lead poisoning. I'd just be taking in more lead than the government says I should. But it'd be worth it.

Ok.. i get ur sarcastic...  but dang.. there are kids reading this... and perpetuating "fight the power"  is harmful to social cohesion and efficient governance...

I really don't think we should fear government, especially BIG government.....   Because it's big.. it's full of PEOPLE... and in any large sample.. the ratios of GOOD egg to BAD egg are always normal..

Thus the bigger the government... the safer it is, the more it actually "represents" the people it governs...


The whole fear placed upon the "Age of the Kings" is unfounded.. there is no such throne in the modern world...


Yes it becomes more inefficient.. but that's what technology is for... organization... be patient... we've only had  Oracle and SAP for a few years.....

I would say that this is a science question, not a social studies question.

it's no necessary to split social studies and science  except towards academia..


for example.. They invent Nukes...  could you say it's NOT a deeply social-studies phenomenon in the deciding to use it?

Is genocide possibly beneficial...   If such great cost could grant us world peace in establishing a single nation within a short period of time....

All that would be social-studies....   and yet the Pivotal invention was made by physicists. 


and to be clear... I think if nukes didn't have the radioactive fall out...   the USA probably would've bombed EVERYONE.... including the british...  call it collateral damage and write WIN in the history books...
