help, upload hex to ergodox!!

Just got my first ergodox, still in the learning curve.

My ergodox is supposed to be in the default layout.
I download the Teensy Loader, create my hex file.

I run the Teensy Loader, open the hex file, then switch to layer 2, and press the Teensy Button on the keyboard, but nothing happens, the Program and reboot opion are still gray out in Teensy.

In the instruction, I found this "If HalfKay is running, you should see this. If not, simply make sure your Teensy board is connected, and press the pushbutton to run HalfKay. The Teensy Loader will quickly recognize it. "
Where is the pushbutton???

Can someone help me out here?

the button on the teensy.. it is not programmed with the firmware yet. you gotta do the teensy loader before you can use any "layers"

You mean I have to take it apart to push the button on the teensy. 

Is there any other way to reconfigure the layout?

Here's a recap for others..

You only need to use the loader button 1 time.

after you program the loader button into one of the 20 possible layers.. you no longer have to open up the ergodox to use the loader button on the teensy..
