Old Memories that click - !
« on: Wed, 11 December 2013, 09:26:35 »
Post ur old memories...

7th grade:

English teacher.. she was really really "flubbery".. young woman around 30-x

I was drinking apple juice today and finally realized why she was so huge..

She used to make us play spelling-bingo, with apple juice container caps.. She had an entire oil drum full.. I know cuz they were in an oil drum in the classroom..

And she told us once that she personally drank all the bottles of apple juice which yielded those container caps...

Now that I know about calories and sugar intake.. I've finally realized why she was so gigantic...

I was in the 5th grade. The bell had just rang. So I did what every fifth grader would, run out the door and go down the stairs. Now not walking but running down. Like everyone else. I got a detention for that. Mom was pissed too... For running down the stairs, really?
In what school does that make sense in?

Dumbest thing i ever got detention for.. I refused to eat the Easter chocolate eggs, that the math teacher was giving out...

Hm......... ok...

TP4 analysis..

The toast usually has a bitter burnt (herbal) smell

Along with old butter, which may have a sour taste/smell

This could combine to something very similar to what 'pee  smells like..

Also I don't watch the weather channel because it used to be on before  had to get on the bus to go to school and I hated riding the bus and had this fear every morning before it came......I still get a weird feeling anytime the weather channel is on.

Back in my youth I had come to know 3 girls, lets call them a blonde, a brunette and a redhead. I think I met them all the same week, but maybe I had known some longer than others. Being self absorbed as I was, I didnt really listen to any of their stories.

Then one day they all stopped talking to me. Like they were definitely upset with me for some reason. Being self absorbed as I was, I didnt know what it was Id done. I just thought to myself "man, thats wild! what are the odds?"

It wasnt until about 10 years later when I happened into the brunette that I realized just how good the odds were. Im talking about, I cant believe I ever got to know any of them. As it turns out, the redhead was both the blondes big sister and the brunettes roommate.  :p

I guess the take away is that when a chick tells you about her day and her friends and stuff, go ahead and listen. There might be some information in there that you can use to your advantage.

I remember a very nice moment at high school. I was in 3rd year and was quite friendly with one teacher (techno something where you build things). The guy was like 6 foot 3 at least and while not an athlete, he was quite strong and heavy. One day, were we had a written test, we all went to another class to take the test. So I arrive in the class (I am like the 6-7 student to make it) and then the teacher comes in, challenges me and charges me right away like a bull. I had no idea what was happening. By reflex, I managed to deflect him on the desk where he fell (his pride took a big hit there). Then he got up, grab me, and pushed me on the board. Then, again by reflex, I managed to use the momentum to rotate us both and push him on the desk, he did the same until my back hit a pen sharpener (the kind that is bolted on the wall, all metal). It stopped there.

Later, I learned that he did something similar each year. I still don't know why. The year after he became director of the school. Then, during a French class (with a relatively strange professor), this teacher decided to push me aside to enter in class while we were waiting for him. By reflex of being pushed (and insulted), I pushed him back. He sent me to the director. When I got there, I explained him the situation, and then he simply told me to go back to class and tell the professor that I had beaten him the year before (anyway, this professor was somewhat already in trouble with the school). The professor didn't take it well, but sucked it up.

I had this special feeling inside me  ;D

Back when I used to go in private school the teachers were incredibly strict. In grade two we were in the computer lab and I really had to go to the bathroom buy the teachers refused to let me go. I literally begged them to let me go as I really had to relieve myself. Ended up pissing myself. The teachers finally noticed and said that I had "spilt juice on myself". Switched to public school after grade two.

please see a FREE one-picture course on how to deal with wife that doesn't cook you food.

(...)Whereas back then I wrote about the tyranny of the majority, today I'd combine that with the tyranny of the minorities. These days, you have to be careful of both. They both want to control you. The first group, by making you do the same thing over and over again. The second group is indicated by the letters I get from the Vassar girls who want me to put more women's lib in The Martian Chronicles, or from blacks who want more black people in Dandelion Wine.
I say to both bunches, Whether you're a majority or minority, bug off! To hell with anybody who wants to tell me what to write. Their society breaks down into subsections of minorities who then, in effect, burn books by banning them. All this political correctness that's rampant on campuses is b.s.

It’s in HHKB’s slogan, but when America’s cowboys were in the middle of a trip and their horse died, they would leave the horse there. But even if they were in the middle of a desert, they would take their saddle with them. The horse was a consumable good, but the saddle was an interface that their bodies had gotten used to. In the same vein, PCs are consumable goods, while keyboards are important interfaces." - Eiiti Wada

Perhaps I should tell more funny wife stories...

Just as long as your wife never sees GH!

She'd get bored after a minute or two I'm sure.

My better half glances occasionally at the screen when I am posting, and my daughter never hesitates to call out "Daddy's on the forum AGAIN".

Sounds like my brother
