I would like 1x Poker plate and 2x pairs of tools (so 4 tools).

Beast, I don't see my name in the OP.

Alright, I that was more than likely before I had the quote in with the price. I'll confirm

As long as I can't find someone that can design a FC660M plate, could you put me down for a universal TKL plate?

It should, yeah. Especially since we have had numerous groupbuys and plenty of models to try them on.

Any estimate on when these will go into production as we have enough for the first sheet? Stripped my poker down, made my ergo-clears, ready for new plate! :D With regards to the thickness...are these thicker than say a normal poker 2 plate or about the same? If thicker, it'll still work right... Just can't be too thick or the side clips of the MX switches won't bite when pushed into the plate...?

I'm dreaming of a 40% titanium board. Could we do a 40% plate?
Definitely interested in a set of tools, and I'm thinking about how many 60% plates is reasonable to buy in one month...

i can get this material to the laser with a couple days lead time, but we need a better idea of what the demand for switch tools is. so, speak up! if you want switch tools, please say so and how many!

more plates are cool too, as long as you or the_beast have a drawing for them.

it would be cool to get full 40% cases into this cutting job, but jd would have to revise his drawings, and it would delay the buy significantly. we need to get this material out to the laser and give him time to work with the material before we go too crazy. hence, we're trying to get as many switch tools made and purchased so that we can continue to get Ti plates cut with different drawings.

I'm a bit confused. The_Beast doesn't seem to care much about the switch tools. If the problem with moving this forward is a lack of switch tool interest, it should be in the title so that more people know about it.

Kawa is partially right. Plates are the main part of this buy, tools are just to file space so we're not wasting an expensive material.

I need to figure out how many plates will fit onto the sheet, how many tools I can get out of the scrap and at what price GH is willing to buy them for.

I'm not sure how much the Aluminum ones went for, but I'd be fine with $15/ea ;D

I'm definitely down for at least one set of switch tools if/when they are ready for sale. Depending on price I might want 2 sets. $15 seems a little steep IMO. If they are that much I'll probably stick with just one set.

Non ti tools were around $10-15. Ti tools will naturally be more than that.

They'll probably be more, seeing as previous tools of cheaper material were priced at $15. I'd estimate $30, but I could be WAY off.

Ok just the plate then lol, I'll make a tool out of a bulldog clip or just use tweezers xD I have titanium tweezers already to be fair.

I don't believe the tools will be $30, and I'd be quite disappointed if they were.

I understand that the material is expensive, but the surface area required for a plate makes up more than 10 sets of switch tools (they're not very big), and the plate is only about $75. Additionally, the switch tools are being produced from the scrap left over from cutting plates, which would be waste otherwise.

A nice price on the switch tools would be a nice gesture to those of us jumping into this :). (I understand if that can't happen, though.)

Wasn't there a bit of manual labor involved with the previous switch tools?

They have to be bent and the ends filed down right?

How much more difficult would it be with titanium?

That would add to the costs and even the feasibility of getting them done considering The_Beast is primarily focused on his education at the moment.

That's certainly true. I was actually assuming that most of the $15 cost of the last round of tools was labor compensation, not materials. Of course I could be wrong about this.

the_beast only has cutting fees and has reserved space for smaller plates. however, we have some more material. we just don't know how much (it's actually blocked on me, sorry). certainly, the more people who are looking for larger plates, the easier it is on us.. this is an IC, so please register your interest as loudly as possible and find compatriots, etc.

No worries, I just want to get these cut to see how well they come out. I also want to maximize space used due the material cost TKLs are a lot hard to fit onto the plate/nest

The_Beast, do you expect this to go to GB/invoicing phase this week? (Want to make sure funds are in the right places.)

Getting everything figured out. Once I start GB, payments will be taken right away, kawa gets Ti, ships to laser, gets cut, ships to me and I ship to you

I doubt it will be more than 2 weeks to GB starting
Vendor Status: Sadly, not taking any orders/pre-orders at this time
