« on: Tue, 14 January 2014, 18:17:26 »
Quick question. Does anyone know of a tenkeypad with Costar stabilizers, preferably in MX red or blue? Thanks!

Some people prefer the feel of costar. I don't think those people have tried clipped cherry stabilisers... :))

clipped cherry stabs help, but it's not enough.. You have to really shave down the insert stem for it to at all come close to Costar crisp-ness.

With Cherry if you get a cap that's even slightly bent.. You're going to get mushy-ness near end of the keystroke..

I don't agree with you on that one. I find that clipped cherry stabilisers feel crisper and nicer than costar all the time.

As demik said.. it's all preference ;)

Unpossible... cherry is generally not as crisp because it has more contact with the stabilizer guides ..  This has nothing to do with clipped vs unclipped.

Or get a fullsize keyboard and cut the keypad section off.

Maybe team up with someone who it making a TKL board from a fullsize one.  Maybe someone making SSK?  First ever BS keypad!
"Because keyboards are accessories to PC makers, they focus on minimizing the manufacturing costs. But that’s incorrect. It’s in HHKB’s slogan, but when America’s cowboys were in the middle of a trip and their horse died, they would leave the horse there. But even if they were in the middle of a desert, they would take their saddle with them. The horse was a consumable good, but the saddle was an interface that their bodies had gotten used to. In the same vein, PCs are consumable goods, while keyboards are important interfaces." - Eiiti Wada
