Dell AT101R- Switch Picture Anybody?

was wondering if anybody had one of these that could provide a picture with the key cap off?

i know its a rubber dome, but was curious how much different to the dell quiet key switch it is?

the way the switch looks isn't special..  it's just a slider protruding from the molded plastic housing.

It's the domes underneath that is special

They're higher quality. Thick, and more rigid.

I had a 101R once, pretty sure that it was rubber dome. Sold it to a bloke in Australia, I would not consider it worth the shipping cost, which was much less back then but still $40-50.

Don't bother unless it is really cheap, opt for the original QuietKey instead, that is a very nice board, and probably much cheaper.

i have a quiet key that i swap out on my office desk when i need to be quiet, but the keys are pretty shiny and the legends are getting worn

i actually do not mind the quiet keys that much, for a rd not to shabby

i wonder how many people buy a at101r thinking it is black alps than..........SURPRISE!

i've seen quite a few go as just at101's thinking they are alps and r actually the rd version

That's how I got mine. I felt lucky to break even getting rid of it, but the buyer seemed genuinely happy.

$&!t...I accidentally just bought one of these thinking it had alps switches...i thought i was smart!  $24 down the drain...haha
