Getting accepted into college
Whoa! Congratulations!Where are you going?
Coffee. Coffee makes me happy. It is comforting on every level. If everything is going wrong in life, I know I can always get some coffee. Even in ice cream form.
I got accepted into Ole Miss. I'm still waiting to hear back from Wake Forest and Furman, but it's good to know I got in to one place .
Oh, nice!
Joinin' the sis, I see.
Just be smart with student loans and with your time.
Study hard, learn a lot and make sure you have some of the greatest times of your life.
Good advice, especially the first bit (you hear the second part enough
). I could have been quite a bit smarter about my loans and saved myself a lot of time and trouble now.
In my case I chose an expensive school for the first year, then transferred and changed majors (requiring me to take summer classes). The transfer and major change was a good move and I wouldn't change that (changing majors isn't bad). But it did add to the cost. Where the mistake comes in is that I didn't start paying off my loans when I was working either my co-op or internship.
Bad idea. I figured "meh, they're in deferral, I want to enjoy myself right now, I'll have plenty of time to pay them off". Which is true, but I could have taken a good chunk of the loans out during that time, and in retrospect I should have. I'd actually have some decent discretionary spending *now*, which would be super cool.

Anyway, now that the lecture is over... Have fun!
