What does a camera have to do with teens?
They only use the front camera for selfies. Or do I have the front and rear confused...?
Anyway, why not a nexus 5? Camera is great, just the image processing is ****ty. And that's the issue with new cameras on phones. Not all of them have great image processing. Parents are in their 40s, still take pictures of different things and send them to me and FaceBook lol.
Lots of use our cellphone camera to photograph new keyboards.
Remember: they say "the best camera you own is the one you have with you". I always have my phone with me, so I always have the camera.
Plus it's really easy to use it to remember things for you. Like who borrowed what. When they borrow it, take a photo of them holding the item and put it in a folder. Then you know who borrowed what and when they got it from you.
A well-executed cellphone picture is normally more than sufficient to get the details on a keyboard or switch that may be uncommon or rare. As such they are wonderful for documenting things. Keep in mind: such a use-case is to focus much more on clarity to make sure the details are shown than aesthetics.
That teen age thing was just simplified stereotype for sake of provoking. Of course people use their cameras on their phones. Camera phone has became the standard and people are used to it. There is tons of implementations linked to them.
In some countries it's even the standard that mobile phone cameras are the only cameras people have, if they even have those.
What I'm actually trying to say that nonetheless there are people who could cope without having that camera. For example if every manufacturer had one smart phone model without camera and that would transfer to the price tag, I think some people would buy them. Those wouldn't be top sellers but I think they would sell enough. I use my mobile phone camera probably once in a month and could live without those pics. For the sake of irony maybe there would finally be something worth taking pictures when I didn't have that camera with me all the time (and I wouldn't mind that)...
Anyway, why not a nexus 5?
I already have Nexus 4 and it takes wonderfully ****ty pics.
For next provocation I tell you more about how behind of time I am in the context of mobile phones. I've usually changed my phone in every two years. That two years mark is closing for my Nexus 4 but I can't find any reason to change. New phones have little bigger and more precise screens but nothing worth spending. Hardware is little better but my current hardware hasn't really been a bottle neck for any every day software. Development of battery technology in consumer electronics has been behind for some time already. 4G is only reason I can think of but finnish operators are sooooo behind on that. 4G spread is still too low and the prices are way up. I need to wait until that has been fixed.
Only innovation on mobile phone market has been what OnePlus did. The innovation that you can sell the same **** that everyone else is selling but sell it cheaper by saving on marketing costs. Unfortunately that won't make that big change because the most of the consumers will just buy the phone which local seller markets for them or which has had good coverage.
I've probably gone enough off topic...
