I've been changing it lately, but I've probably only done 3-4 real changes over the past year and a half. I might stick to this one for a few more weeks, I kinda like it.

On GH I've only changed it once. Was originally the Github Octocat version of Nyancat, now it's a custom version of the nyancap keycap.

With most boards I've been on avatars have just been a nice-to-have feature, except on NeoGAF. Over there it's become something of a micro-culture, with it's own request thread, numerous appreciation threads, rating threads, seasonal threads, etc. People talk about and make new avatars so often it's remarkable, haha.

I remember maybe 5x ava changes, but this is what I use at least long enough

I'm very slowly cycling through various pictures of the same style as the one I have. I've used Leo Di Caprio but I don't know where to go after Bill Murray...

Also it means I have to change it on all the forums I go on =/
Can we get them to build the Alps ten feet higher and get Cherry to pay for it?

I have changed mine a few times but always went back.

People probably want "a familiar face"

When I got my first Model F, I did the "Command 1 - Help - Play" thing and it just seemed like a good idea.

The sub-legends "Hex" and "Test" seemed cool, too.

I haven't changed my avatar, here or anywhere else, in a couple of years, save to add an avatar to new sites I've signed up for. And I guess the one time where I took an avatar off a site I no longer used.

I used to change mine when I got a new artisan keycap, but the one depicted in my avatar is my favourite of all, so I don't plan on changing it any time soon.
"Because keyboards are accessories to PC makers, they focus on minimizing the manufacturing costs. But that’s incorrect. It’s in HHKB’s slogan, but when America’s cowboys were in the middle of a trip and their horse died, they would leave the horse there. But even if they were in the middle of a desert, they would take their saddle with them. The horse was a consumable good, but the saddle was an interface that their bodies had gotten used to. In the same vein, PCs are consumable goods, while keyboards are important interfaces." - Eiiti Wada

@RED-404 Probably some RPG from the end of the 80s, less likely early 90s. Might and Magic?

Nope, it should be "how often do you change your avatar?".  Much is a quantity measurement, not a frequency.

I found this yesterday

(Attachment Link)

Imitation is the most sincere form of flattery, eh? You're special, rowdy  ;)

Might have been nice if he'd asked first grumble grumble.

Nope, it should be "how often do you change your avatar?".  Much is a quantity measurement, not a frequency.

um...Buhhhh.... buhhhh....... i'm prettty sure it's still correct to use much here... even if that would imply how much a single avatar is changed.. if it has been changed 1000%,  that could be 10 totally different avatars... depending on how you want to index the change...  by using much,  you can also change it 107%, where it has changed completely ONCE, and 7% of the pixels from the first change..

I still have no idea what tp4's handle means. Can't imagine what avatar would be suitable either, perhaps one of those onion emote guys.

You know when you run out of tissues and have to use toilet paper instead?  That's using TP for tissue.  tp4tissue
