Here's how I do mine and it tastes really good:
1. Put 1 cup of quinoa and 2 cup of chicken broth (instead of water)
2. Make it boil
3. While it starts boiling, cut an onion in small pieces and 2-3 thing of garlic and add them to the quinoa (or do so before you put it on the fire, up to you)
4. Add a little bit of soya sauce and sesame oil
5. Once it boils, reduce the fire to low and let it stir for 15 min with a cover not completely closed. (watch 2-3 min before the end and remove from fire when there's no liquid).
Once cooked, just use a fork to mix it all (it will open then quinoa) and serve! It's a very nice dish in itself, but it's even better to accompany many foods like fish, chicken, etc.
