I need some help from a computer virus expert
« on: Mon, 24 November 2014, 21:20:01 »
So I just did one of the most stupid thing in my life.  It's a long short, but I got a FAKE(100% sure now) Fedex e-mail today with a attached file, and I downloaded it and run it, it is a js file.  Now my computer is playing random audio ads in the background of my computer, and I have no idea how to stop it.. :-\
In Windows Task Manager, it shows it is running A LOT cmd.exe, conhost.exe, iexplore.exe, svchost.exe, taskkill.exe... and a lot more.

:-\ is there anyone can help me?

p.s. I am using win7 and using Norton360.  I have run Norton360 full scans multiple time and the ads are still playing.  I have also tried TDSSKILLER, but it doesn't work

Hahahahaha..

back up ur important documents in safemode..   then just nuke it.. from fdisk.. DO NOT boot into anything that can potentially let the virus expand.

ALSO.. take ur puter off line right away , especially if you have other pcs in the house on network.

Try MalwareBytes: https://www.malwarebytes.org/mwb-download/

Honestly probably one of the best free-to-use-for-the-most-part antivirus/antimalware programs out there. After you install, be sure to update as well. It's been a long, long time since I've used it, so I can't offer a boatload of advice.

Also, HiJackThis is a great startup scanner, too: http://sourceforge.net/projects/hjt/

YES.. those are good tools to have

but..  i guess.. my point is.. after such a Serious infection.. you should probably reformat..

Even if you don't...  try not to do any online banking, credit card stuff, social security..  any of that on that pc from now on..
