Rain Appreciation Thread

Finally raining in Los Angeles. Sadly it will be gone soon.

But man do I love this weather. Hate the stupid drivers though.

Blade Runner is the best movie of all time.
Blade Runner is always raining.
Rain is thus the best weather of all time.

When I lived in Vegas, rain might as well been the apocalypse.  These desert dwellers cannot deal with weather variations very well.

And a sprinkling of snow, oh god.  Hell on earth.

if you can have a vacation, better go skiing in utah.

You should come to North Vancouver demik. It rains approximately 200 days a year here with avg precipitation of 100 inches/2500mm. Super wet :)

I love rain when I'm sleeping but that's about it.  Went out earlier and I was pretty sure I was going to die.  SoCal residents will never learn how to drive in the rain.  You either have someone crawling along at a snail's pace or some idiot gunning it for no reason.

love me some rain. it only sucks when you're wearing bad clothing for it.
snow however? **** snow. where I'm from, we get 7 months of snow every year. and down to -50c if we're unlucky. usually doesn't get below -40c though. (same as -40F btw)
and most of summer it rains. but as I said, I like rain.

We had rain last night.

And lightning.

And enough thunder to make the windows rattle and nearly make the floor rattle.

i went to costco yesterday wearing chinelas to get some tires changed. it started raining. i almost slipped and died a trillion times trying to walk from my parking spot to costco. once i surrendered my car keys, i realized i had forgotten my phone. the wait was two hours. i ended up buying two boxes of alcohol-filled chocolates and staring at them for a long time. It took a lot of self-control to not buy the Batman encyclopedia. I rewarded myself by getting a costco dog and drink.

this was the worst day ever. once the rain subsided, there was a quadruple rainbow in the sky. a lot of rude people froze in place and took ****ty phone pictures of the phenomenon. they were rude because they were in the parking lot not being mindful of cars and their fat asses.

i wonder where the photos will end up

It's a weird thing.. really don't wanna talk about it... dunno how common it is, ya kno'.. I heard it's called "consciousness". Rumour has it it makes you do stuff that's "good" for ya, like getting some fresh air, excersise, and stuffz..

wish it rained erry day ;_;

You really don't though. Two months in the PacNW and you'll be begging for some sunshine. Begging, but the Gods won't listen.

Instead they shall shower their smite upon your art project, soggy your document hardcopies, and make you feel like you pissed yourself for the next 6hrs of your life .

No sir, the Gods are quite cruel. Only giving brief glimpses of sunlight perhaps 2 weeks out of the year. Just enough for you to build a sliver of hope before having it dashed apart by yet another deluge.

A POX ON THEE RAIN! A CURSE UPON YOU AND YOURS, FOUL DEMON OF THE CLOUDS!

It's a great excuse no to go out and socialize.
That's coming from me too, I'm supposed to be extroverted.
