Have you considered relocating?  Sounds like where you're at isn't the best fit for you.  Not that I'm pretending to know you super well, but if you're miserable because of these reasons there's probably a fix.

I basically decided to not learn honestly. I have more money than time right now. I COULD set up a station, but there's no decent place in my apt. I've opted to for now, outsource my projects to Dorkvader and some secret elf friends.
I'm into Korean Kustoms, myself, and I would be all over vintage boards but I'm not active enough on DT and they dont seem as readily available here.
