Going Tokyo yes. It's part of something the family and I have been savings/planning a few years back. The keyboard hobby have delayed it further (lol, no, that is not true... but I am sure it plays a part) and now I have no excuse anymore. It's not entirely on vacation .. sight seeing being a part of it. I will definitely visit Akihibara to geek out, Mount Fuji to be back to nature, lulz and maybe take a bullet train or two

If you want good ramen while in Tokyo you MUST go to Mutekiya in Toshima. I tried ramen all over Tokyo and nothing else came close, the line can sometimes be about a half an hour wait but it is SO worth it.

Pretty easy to get to, you'll be passing Toshima on your way to plenty of tourist attractions. The rail there is probably the best I've ever been on, super easy to understand and with my rail pass I barely paid anything.

I will admit that I think I tried to stick to the one train company where I could, I was on a rail pass so I tried to use that as much as possible. Loved the bullet trains, made getting out for a day trip so much easier.

I was born in Canada, was raised in Taiwan for the first 2 years, then back to Canada till age 10 where i moved to Japan and went to a regular Japanese school for 2.5-3 years then back to Canada till last year but with frequent trips back to Japan, Taiwan, and Hong kong in that time as well.
I have both Japanese chitizenship and Canadian citizenship.

I'll let you decide lol
