Notebook enthusiasts

We're all into keyboards, but are there any notebook users out here? I'm currently using a Moleskine Pocket notebook (lined), Evernote edition. Not my typical notebook of choice, but it was a gift so I ain't complaining  ;D

I don't think I've gone a day without having a field notes booklet in my pocket since high school. Currently just have a set of purple ones I'm going through that were given to me at a career fair.

I've heard a lot about Field Notes. What makes them so special compared to other notebooks of that size? Are they just very resistant?

I used to have a notebook, but when it filled it was too much effort to manually copy the important bits into a new one.

Then I got a PDA, then an iPod touch, and I haven't bothered with a notebook since.
"Because keyboards are accessories to PC makers, they focus on minimizing the manufacturing costs. But that’s incorrect. It’s in HHKB’s slogan, but when America’s cowboys were in the middle of a trip and their horse died, they would leave the horse there. But even if they were in the middle of a desert, they would take their saddle with them. The horse was a consumable good, but the saddle was an interface that their bodies had gotten used to. In the same vein, PCs are consumable goods, while keyboards are important interfaces." - Eiiti Wada

I find that there is something about writing in a physical notebook that cannot be mimicked by a digital input device. It's more intimate.  ;)

I always carry a field notes book with me. Been doing it for over 10 years now, and I feel weird without one. I don't use it for anything special, but it has came in handy on many occasions. In terms of the brand itself, I find that they are relatively durable. The small size is what I really like, it fits with my wallet perfectly. Plus they have cool colors
