I'm also into sci-fi!

Reading The Last Ship by William Brinkley. And I need to finish up Dust from Hugh Howey's Silo series.

Also really excited to pickup Choosing Death by Albert Mudrian and NYHC 1980-1990. Maybe Murder in the Front Row too.

Somehow I had never heard of or read Terry Pratchett's Discworld. I am currently marathoning all 40+ books. About halfway through and I've enjoyed every book so far.

The last non Discworld book I read was The Martian. Great sci-fi read.

I like reading long series of books so I'm about 3/4s of the way through the Bourne Identity (spy thriller) at home and about halfway through Ancillary Justice (sci-fi) at work.

Next up will probably be Neuromancer again, I didn't really give it a chance the first time around and moved house and had a baby half way through so didn't really give it the attention it deserved.

"the sun also rises" or  "farewell to arms " are both good reads. I believe it's his early early stuff though YMMV 8)

A Fighting Chance by Elizabeth Warren

before that,

The Master Switch by Tim Wu

both excellent and highly recommended, but beware the paranoia creeping in
"However, even though I was born in the Mesozoic, I do know what anyone who wants to reach out to young people should say: Billionaires took your money. They took your chance to buy a home. They took your chance at a good education. They stole your opportunities. Billionaires took the things you want in life. If you really want those things, you have to take them back.
That's the message. That's the whole message. Say that every day, not just to reach America's frustrated young white men, but people of every age, race, and gender.
Late-stage capitalism is a wealth-concentration engine, focused on vacuuming up every dollar and putting it in as few hands as possible. Republicans are helping that vacuum suck.
How does a tiny fraction of the population get away with this? They do it by dividing the other 99% of Americans against themselves."

Words of Radiance was a great book. I cannot wait for the next one to come out.

I am not currently reading anything though. One of these days I will catch up on Mistborn though.

For sure, Raistlin is probably my favourite character. He's a badass mage!

I guess there are some things I am currently reading, although they are comics.  Catching up on New Avengers and Avengers, in prep for Secret Wars.  I also read Chrononauts, Amazing Spider-Man, Batman and Robin, Manifest Destiny, Thor, Zero, and Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles.  I read other books occasionally, but these are the ones I buy regularly.

I'm a sci-fi fantasy nut and love to read so ill have a couple books going at once!
Currently reading
Brent Weeks
Lightbringer Series
The broken eye

Brandan Sanderson
The Stormlight Archive
Words of Radiance

Jim Butcher
Dreden Files
Just finished reading: Skin Games

Good stuff you're reading =]

Big fan Sanderson's and Week's works. Will probably get around to reading Dresden Files this summer (I probably should... cause... Chicago).

Currently reading... Nothing because I'm taking too many classes this quarter for me to do anything other than eat, sleep, and study (and GH).

But some of my recent favorites have been the Mistborn series, the Gentlemen Bastards series, and the Kingkiller Chronicles (all time favorite series yet).

(also a fan of Haruki Murakami's works, and Chinese XianXia webnovels)

Patrick Rothfuss' writing is on a whole different level from the vast majority of great books I've read =]

It's a rare book that comes to life while reading it and Kingkiller Chronicles definitely was one of the most (if not most) vivid books I've read yet! You'll definitely enjoy it (I don't know anyone who has read the books that hasn't enjoyed it)
