hitbox

in all seriousness, i'd probably get the q4 over the madcatz TE.  But probably Hori over those as well.

TE2. I always thought MC products are lame until I got one myself. My other stick is the VLX.
Please feed my addiction.

best option would be to make your own. i found a decript x-arcade single player joystick for cheap at a swapmeet. i fitted it with sanwa parts and it pretty much ruled.

edit: forgot to answer your original question. i had a buddy who had that madcatz sticks and it was really keen. looks like both have sanwa parts so i'd figure it'd be better to go with what's more aesthetically pleasing. i know alot of people in the arcade community sure love that q4 though.

Am I crazy? i don't even see a damn joystick on the Hitbox. And the weird layout looks ripe for miss-hitting buttons.

the hitbox is superior..  but it may or may not be tournament legal, depending on tournament.

It's far more consistent than using a regular joystick,  especially for circles..

Nah man, not for me. I need something thick and hard to wrap my fingers around. Something that can really take a beating yet still responds to the gentle caress of my fingers.

Hitbox is objectively superior for fighters. A standard stick however has more practical uses for genres outside of fighters.

I picked up a Razer Atrox for $100 during their sale and I have been pleased with the construction. Still waiting on MS to get its act together and enable the RT LT buttons on Xbone arcade sticks.

I may mod the Atrox to accept a USB-B cable over the proprietary DIN cable.
