Pre-workout Shower
« on: Mon, 07 March 2016, 14:50:31 »
Anyone try this..

I read that the theory is, it's like a warm up, since you're already warm from the shower..

And.... and suppose afterwards you'd also just have a quick rinse.

You wouldn't to need soap up again, since most of the dirt and oil would've been removed in the pre-shower

Haven't heard of that one before, but I guess I can understand the reasoning. Unfortunately I sweat like a w**** in church when I work out so a full douching is always called for after I workout.

...and I kinda agree with this. Warm ups should include a bit of cardio to get the heartrate elevated, not just to warm up muscles.

Shower before, and after the work out? Why you want to exclude all of California? Do you hate Californians?

What about smelling salts? All that water..

hahaha. You could always go for a brisk walk followed by a bit of stretching to warm up. As long as you don't immediately sprint during your workout I think you're good  :thumb:

I'm back..

Ok..

So, overall

Pros:

-- Joints feel much smoother throughout the workout

-- The start of the workout feels much lighter and easier to get into

Cons:

-- excessive sweating.. because you start out so hot.
