So we have 2 barriers.
Time-constraint... (how much time do you have to do this)
Motivation... (why do it !!!)
Language requires time, because the learning process works by REPETITIVE association.
--- This time issue is very straight forward, the more time you spend enveloped in the language, the better you get.. You trade time for mastery.
Motivation..
--- This barrier is much harder..
Imagine you're trying to learn japanese, because you saw this pretty japanese girl at church..
Now, you go home, extremely motivated to learn japanese to impress her..
Then, a week later, you find out, hey she thinks you're good looking, and you start talking.. ALL WITHOUT having learned japanese..
You start going out, and the plan to learn japanese is now pointless..
BECAUSE your goal has been achieved in a different way with less labor.. Your brain has already given up on Japanese, it already haz the girl.. WHY BOTHER..
.... So, ask yourself, WHY do you want to learn Japanese. Every moment of every day, you SPEND life-force... It is always ticking down.. Regardless of whether or not you're enjoying yourself..
Without proper identification and planning towards a valid GOAL, the japanese text-books you buy is the SAME as exercise equipment that most of us fat guys abandon..
