Mod bug is biting me in the ass

So I've got a plebware x51(freshman self thought it was a good idea)

I haven't followed computer news until this week. And I've learned that the 970 draws 145w of powah. This is tempting because my 660 draws 140w and I have some headroom. But mod bug is biting me now for the fact that I have a handy dandy dremel and want moar fans.

But then I've got an ubuntu partition and I'm all over the place learning linux. Who needs the outside world. Screw all that.

I remember overclocking amd NF4 back in the day, took me 2 weeks.

Now, if it were mounted somewhere I know he wouldn't go, I wouldn't worry. Now you've got me wanting to experiment with open case vs a hole with a mesh guard. Don't care for leds anyway.

Conky is just system monitoring software. I think there is a Conky Manager package that does all the configuring for you but it wouldn't take with my older hardware so I have to configure it all myself. Nothing that will brick an OS AFAIK.

Best way to do this, is to get one of those $20  corsair cases..

Then just swap everything in..

I don't think cutting into the x51 case is a good idea.. it's got a plastic panel outside the inner metal panel,  the cut's gonna look crummy if you do this with a dremel..

I would go and buy a new case for $20..  Save you alot of trouble.. and it'll work much better and cooler than the x51 case..
