Wife and I share a Kindle Fire, she uses it for books, I have the occasional movie on there. We used it for our flight to NYC/Italy a few weeks ago, but otherwise it just sits on a desk at home waiting for another trip.

Totes agree..

At home I read books on my 30" pc panel..    I have to squint to read my tablet, squinting gives me wrinkles..

The kids use a nexus and a fire tablet.

Sometimes I'll watch Netflix on one of them if I'm using my phone for something else.

Not at all.

I've concluded that I'd rather have a device with it's own keyboard, a large screen, and that can stand on its own without being held.

Ergonomically, they're a disaster, and the input methods mean the OS feels very single-task.
