Government restricting chemicals

kinda useless since people will always find ways to convert chemicals into what they try to restrict. illegal activity will be done whether or not the government likes it. lol

The reason the restrictions are there is to prevent large scale dependence which could very easily happen if production is unrestricted..

The problem with the higher class narcotics is the fact that recovery from their addiction is fundamentally impossible.

The high, reaches neuro-toxic levels which forever alters the brain circuit in such a way that all which remains of the abuser is a Partial-Person..

This person could look normal, and actually be normal from time to time,  But he is no longer in adequate (relative term) control of his motivations.

Therefore a creation of an entire class of such peoples must be avoided if SOCIETY, which is defined as a collection of functional and laboring individuals is to be maintained..

A Nation can tolerate tens of thousands of drug abusers.  But there's a limit..

Some people will but it makes it more effort so it will weed out others. I agree with tp kinda, its like buying that ammonium nitrate **** in Australia, farmers need it but da terrorists could use it to terrorise. I think you need a permit or they record your details if you buy it now. If someone wants to make a bomb they still can. It just makes that avenue a little more complex.

Haha  watch out for cotton eye joe.

I actually thought of a better example. So i had a friend in high school, he would buy cough medicine from a bunch of places. He would then take it home, cut and extract the **** that gets you high from it. A little while later they bought in a requirement that you need to have your id recorded if buying that stuff essentually putting a  stop to that avenue of getting high as buying in bulk would flag you in the system. Did it stop him doing drugs... no in fact he was a junkie last time i saw him many years ago but it stopped him abusing the cough medicine.

Sigh... that's the problem with drugs..

It's feels better than real life, by a SIGNIFICANT margin..

If only it was just --a little-- better , then far fewer people would bother.

But drug abusers are not idiots..  Many of them are lawyers, doctors, scientists..

Heck, even Paul Erdős, one of the greatest mathmaticians ever was hooked on amphetamines.. (similar to meth)
