Typing videos - you're doing it wrong

do you know these typing videos of people typing on certain keyboards on youtube?
I think these videos are very helpful and deliver important information about how a keyboard sounds, but people are doing it wrong.

I'm literally going crazy when watching these videos because it seems like the typists are typing for their f..ing lives!!!!!

Take a deep breath.
Chill the f.ck out and type like a normal person would do it.
Not like a racing horse on steroids. Don't type like you're getting shot when you're falling below 140wpm!

Just like testing out a sports car, you wouldn't drive it slowly right?

Personally I think that's great, as I can compare which keyboard provides the fastest typing performance.

I kind of agree. I watch typing videos to get a good idea of the sound of certain setups, not to hear you machine-gun the damn board.

The other thing that bugs me are "keyboard reviews" where the person is covering all of the same points that have been done a million times in other videos. This is really subjective, but personally I don't need another Pok3r review that's identical to the other forty that pop up on YouTube first.

Give me a look at your keyboard, have a nice lengthy typing video, and let me hear those wonderful switches. Tell me about what you personally like and dislike.

Also if you do a keyboard review and don't include a proper typing video then you're a bad person.

I just do them to show off my keyboards... that's why there's only roughly 1 per keyboard unless I drastically change something about it.
