My cat enjoys geekhack apparently
« on: Sun, 09 April 2017, 00:21:36 »
Apparently my cat is interested in keyboards and mice (mostly mice) ... trying to type this now without being totally able to see the screen for Cat head in the way..

but here you see Fitz enjoying the fine content of geekhack..  as you see cat hair in the keyboard is a bit of an issue around here.. but whatever I just clean it out.. I enjoy the cat keeping me company while using the internet.. in the 2nd pic you'll see Fitz is also a huge esports fan..

Just say NO to ABS keycaps

hi.. the stand is DIY...it is a 6' pine board I sanded and finished and the legs are from IKEA

this approach works quite well I have another one I made for my wife's computer and a oak one I made for the tv in the living room.   quite sturdy and a lot of room here is another shot of it..

nice score with the U2410's ... sadly I did not get free monitors I bought these ones 5~ years ago.. on pretty good sale (don't remember exactly ~$400 for the pair i think at the time).. mine are u2210's (so the 21.5" size).. good monitors, mine are on many hours per day and still great after 5 yrs here, blacklight is good and even ....especially for free you should be quite pleased I'd think.

u2410 are only $150 a piece in good condition on ebay.. so.. it's not like i won a lottery or anything. hahaha , costco rotisserie chicken is still a better deal.

What would be an interesting upgrade i think is using 4k 50 inch tvs for monitors...

But I refuse to buy anything until we get ULMB in tvs..

There is a 4k asus 120hz coming, and that should support ulmb.. but it's going to be... ~$2000 and not very large.. only 27 inch..

27 inch is too small for a main monitor at that price..
