That's actually a fair point. Thing is... Siri understands nothing or misunderstands it... all the time. At least that's my experience and the experience of friends around me. Basically everybody around me stopped using Siri.

They would have to improve Siri by a factor of 10 for people to even consider this. She is just awful compared to Alexa and Google. Many simple questions you'd ask her are defaulted to web searches (if they are even correctly understood to begin with). The only thing I can reliably count on her to do is check the weather for me.

So they finally found a use for old Mac Pro cases?
"Because keyboards are accessories to PC makers, they focus on minimizing the manufacturing costs. But that’s incorrect. It’s in HHKB’s slogan, but when America’s cowboys were in the middle of a trip and their horse died, they would leave the horse there. But even if they were in the middle of a desert, they would take their saddle with them. The horse was a consumable good, but the saddle was an interface that their bodies had gotten used to. In the same vein, PCs are consumable goods, while keyboards are important interfaces." - Eiiti Wada

The macpro price is somewhat justifiable because you get the 2x pro cards in there..

Buh....... I heard support wasn't super great software side.. so.. .maybe not..

Well.. it was garbage. They never provided an upgrade path for a machine that easily costs 7000-10000 USD. They never offered the promised replacement cards. Every connector is non-standard. It's basically "yeah yeah... we can make user upgradeable machines. See? BUT YOU HAVE TO BUY PARTS FROM US".

isn't half the benefit of Echo/Home etc the fact that you can integrate with a big variety of devices from a range of manufactures?

we all know that apple like to keep everything in their own ecosystem, so they'd need to pump out a bunch of smart devices for it to be useful for anything other than what siri on an iphone can offer
