But buckling spring!
Capacitive versus membrane. Fight!
BS as referee?
Alps holding the drinks.
Cherry hiding in fear
Cherry is like the Ryu of switches. Hated by some, but such a good generalist to be indispensable
Cherry's ok if you can't get anything else.
LOL I actually think the Ryu example was really good, it's jack of all trades master of none.
It's probably at the moment most accessible switch with most options (with all the MX compatible options, custom keycaps, custom cases, custom springs, and custom keyboard kits).
But if you look at spcific criteria there are other switches that do certain things better:
ALPS = More tactility.
Buckling Spring = More mechanical feel.
Topre = Smooth and comfortable typing experience.
Romer-G = LOL this one puzzles me because I'm not exactly sure which area this does better yet, Romer-G feels like it's kind of like MX Brown but just overall a little bit sturdier and tiny bit more tactile.
But again each still has their issues and problems but overall Cherry does decent in all categories or even if not they have potential for people to mod it or improve it to their liking.
Cherry MX is like the Camry of switches, everyone complain about it but it's still the best selling car LOL.
