I can't say much about Topre, as I've never tried it. I can say with confidence, that it is a very addictive hobby indeed. I've spent... probably over £600 on keyboards since December. It's ridiculous, I have to stop myself.

@Eliran: As I understand it, the RF boards sold by Leopold are functionally the same as their Topre RF counterparts but with different color schemes for the keycaps and case.

The one you showed whose label was marked "EK" was a special edition all-45g variant made for Elitekeyboards (EK).

BOTH boards for $160, yes good deal.

even a single board for around that price, used, is market rate (fine deal imo)

2 boards for $160? $80 each?

That is quite possibly the best deal.

Yes.

Coloured keycap sets are not made any more, so you could have ended up paying $160 JUST for the keycap set!
"Because keyboards are accessories to PC makers, they focus on minimizing the manufacturing costs. But that’s incorrect. It’s in HHKB’s slogan, but when America’s cowboys were in the middle of a trip and their horse died, they would leave the horse there. But even if they were in the middle of a desert, they would take their saddle with them. The horse was a consumable good, but the saddle was an interface that their bodies had gotten used to. In the same vein, PCs are consumable goods, while keyboards are important interfaces." - Eiiti Wada
