I can finally join you all here.

Rotring 600 (pics later), old style (Rotring 600 | 0,5 written on side)

This thing feels great in the hand. It is a bit smaller than I was expecting, but not absurdly small.

EDIT: By the way, what does the hardness ring do?

I'm guessing the hardness ring you're talking about is to keep track of what lead you're using, handy if you have several of them with different leads in.

Seriously, TP. This is for Pens and Pencils, not keyboards. A keyboard is an interface tool, and a pen or a pencil is a writing utensil for paper. Last I checked, you can't write on paper with a keyboard.

I took apart my Zebra M-701. The barrel is made of 2 or 3 mm thick stainless steel. They advertise the steel part, but they didn't say it was that thick. This thing is not gonna fall apart.

Was always nice to have when I was in school. The best pen for exams since we had to write it on paper and it would give me more time since I could erase with it. My mom used to be able to get loads of these so always had them everywhere.

Cool thread! I always make sure I have a handful of .8mm Copic Multiliner's on my desk for notes, started using them for art projects years ago but now I use them for everything because they last forever. They're archival and waterproof too which is handy for me because I keep all my old notebooks.

Also got a Space pen laying around somewhere that's in need of an ink replacement, never bothered replacing it because I found it very uncomfortable to write with.

It's a good width!  If it's half-width it's too narrow, and full-width is too wide.

Rotring 600 from Massdrop.

It's missing the red band because I abuse this thing... at least it can handle it.

Does anyone know where I can get the simple "0.5" side-print, as opposed to "rotring 600 / 0,5 mm", as posted earlier in this thread? I want a backup plan if this one eventually gives in.

Dr. Grip Shaker 0.5mm led.. used to not like fat mechanical pencils and thought the shaking thing was kind of gimmicky, but this thing is very comfortable. I often find myself shaking other mechanical pencils before I remember..

I'm also a big fan of the Dr. Grip pencil and I just picked up a Pentel GraphGear 500 just to try out a drafting pencil. It's great and very useful at work :D. The pencil feels nice and I like the tip. Afraid of stabbing myself if I put it in my pocket though. Think I'm going to grab a Rotring too though.

I have one from the Massdrop as well as an older ballpoint. You can get the one with just 0.5 on it from JetPens.

Edit: Looks like they now have the full printed text. Last time I looked they had 0.5. They still have the 0.35 though.

Had a phase of using the Lamy Safari's - ended up buying about 10 of them with various colors for cartridges.

Love fountain pens, currently using a Graf von Faber Castell Ivory Anello daily which works well.
No need to complete the set, don't like Rollers or Ballpoints

I've been searching for a decent pen for a long time.  A very long time.  Finally I was sorting through my old stationery collection after moving house, and found an old Uniball Micro (a green one).  Wondering if they were still available, I searched, and ended up buying three blue ones on an online auction site.

They are great!

Simple.  Effective.  Ready to write without having to scribble first.  Colour-coded.  Not unpleasant to hold.  Long-lasting (the green one would have to be at least 20 years old and still works, although it has seen sparse use).  Clip for pocket carriage.  Available in a range of colours (at least red, green, blue, black).  Inexpensive.

"Because keyboards are accessories to PC makers, they focus on minimizing the manufacturing costs. But that’s incorrect. It’s in HHKB’s slogan, but when America’s cowboys were in the middle of a trip and their horse died, they would leave the horse there. But even if they were in the middle of a desert, they would take their saddle with them. The horse was a consumable good, but the saddle was an interface that their bodies had gotten used to. In the same vein, PCs are consumable goods, while keyboards are important interfaces." - Eiiti Wada

Got the Kuru Toga Roulette Black.

Pencil is quite good and sturdy, I can somewhat tell the effect of the rotation, but not sure if it is placebo at this point. The knurled grip is a little short in length for my liking but very well made and grippy. My only real wish with this pencil is if the top barrel would have been metallic too. All-in-all a very good pencil.

I will definitely be looking into some of the pens and pencils I've seen in this thread. A lot of nice stuff.

Pens -  I have a collection of staedtler pigment liners, prismacolor premiere and sakura pigma microns. They range from .005 to .8
I prefer using .3

Pencil is an alvin draft/matic dm03 .3

The only thing with almost every ballpoint I have tried is that you have to scribble to get them to start writing.

And drying up half way through the first word - so annoying!
