"Ugly" Christmas sweaters
« on: Mon, 10 November 2014, 00:19:55 »
I've never been a huge "ugly sweater" person, but this year I found a few awesome ones.  These two I ordered:

And then there's this masterpiece I want, but can't bring myself to spend $50 on:

I may have also bought some tacky light up Christmas light necklace's from Michael's.  I'm going to have fun at the Christmas party.

I don't think you guys understand Clothing..

If you're pretty.. it hardly matters what you wear...

If you're ugly...  choosing to wear an ugly piece of clothing will garner the same response from your audience as Trolling..

That said.. whatever attention one who's ugly may achieve in purchasing  (an ugly sweater) is not going to lead to him getting laid...

The guy posing in the sweater is a male model, see those arms, that dude works out and has a six pack..

When a female sees HIM, they imagine him naked without the sweater..

When a female sees YOU, nope, they don't see you... and if they do see you, it's at best a step above pity..

HOW is this productive..

The majority of people are invisible no matter what they wear..  if ya'll want to spend money.. either buy something you can eat,  or something you can use to accelerate the mundane task that is -to live-.. such as an ergodox.

you have this all wrong

attractive =/= fashionable.

most good looking people are 'okay' dressers but are not really fashionable at ****ing all.
things like body type do matter how a proper fit sits though.

It's not about being right or wrong,  it's about seeing a larger picture..

I've said nothing about fashion...

but, let's ask this,    has being attractive ever gone OUT of fashion...

What does the fashion industry rely on to sell their ****..  oh wait..  attractive models..

So when you see established fashion..  you are not seeing the cloths,  you are merely overtaken by association  between the arbitrary fabric and  beautiful humans with biologically accepted good genetic stock..

cloths are not sold by good looking models
v's secret models are often cited but VS is not real fashion.

unless you are talking about basic level **** like H&M, models are picked to fit clothes not vice versa.

"has being attractive ever gone out of fashion"
what being attractive is has changed over time, so you are asking me if a concept that changes to fit what is currently accepted is not currently accepted.

models dont matter at all. you would never stick pornstars in haute couture fashion.
most guys will tell you that the sickly skinny girls you see on runways are not attractive. but they are not supposed to be, they are the most effective vessels for the cloths.

thats why most models looks, while they might look "good", are really forgettable and samy. their face is supposed to be a total none issue. it adds to the package but should never take more attention than the clothes themselves.

all you are saying is that the average **** tshirt you see a model wear will not make you look like that model. yea thats true, but its not the point of fashion.

You are so very wrong..

The only reason high heels came back is because pornographers brought them back in the 70s...

So you see.. all of this fashion garbage is INDEED a marketing stint built upon sexual association..

The POINT of fashion...   if you must take this as separate from the fashion industry.. FINE...

You can create a cove where only you live, and you're fashionable for inexplicable  reasons...

This was my favorite from last year that I didn't purchase. Strongly considering it this year.

People in the 1980s, in general, were clearly just better than we are now in every measurable way.

It's almost always waaay too hot in Australia to wear a sweater :p
"Because keyboards are accessories to PC makers, they focus on minimizing the manufacturing costs. But that’s incorrect. It’s in HHKB’s slogan, but when America’s cowboys were in the middle of a trip and their horse died, they would leave the horse there. But even if they were in the middle of a desert, they would take their saddle with them. The horse was a consumable good, but the saddle was an interface that their bodies had gotten used to. In the same vein, PCs are consumable goods, while keyboards are important interfaces." - Eiiti Wada
