Season 5 of Always Sunny In Philadelphia is perfect from front to back. Perfect sitcom, every episode is hilarious and in my opinion, a good contender for the best season of the show.

Ballerina (2025)

It's a spinoff in the Wick universe.

So, kinda lame origin plot so far,  but then, they go to a scene where the girl does ballet, and for whatever reason they have her take her ballet shoes off in that hacky dance movie, my-feet-hurts-monologue, it's just so awkward, because #1 she's clearly not a ballerina, missing all of the typical ballet joint injuries, 2, they go and cover her feet with bandaids and blood, like, whyyyy,  why was this scene necessary.

Such an awkward choice to start the damn movie.

Gut feeling, this movie gonna be not gud',  we'll see.

..

Fighting in high heels, ah, so it's that type of movie.

---

Aghhkkhhhh..  Well, Tp4 doesn't hate it. The flamethrower scenes looked good.   General scenery was alot of Unreal Engine 5.

The problem is the murderthon being exceptionally pointless.

How are we even suppose to interpret/ like the main character. All she did was kill people, are we suppose to think, oh wow, a girl that kills people, that's so cool. What a role model.

The fight choreography was very grounded, and while that is more realistic, with the bland and bulky costumes, they really should'a bam it up a little with some physics defying, as is, it looked like alot of aggressive fast hugging.

It's like, they didn't want to play TOO HARD into the male-gaze because that would be politically unpalatable, yet the script has so little plot, WHAT ELSE, could there be.....  It's barren to the point of boring, and that is unforgivable.

Feel like, the audience probably went into this, to get the "Ana de Armas" experience,  but Ana de Armas, her entire career is Male-Gaze characters, Knockknock, JOI from blade runner, Paloma- 007 no time to die. Here,  they used a puffy lens, put her in puffy costumes, and the result is a bunch of brown potatos wrestling.

Then there's the davinci resolve, her face is fine, but she's too old for the character,  they could've easily fixed this in post with more smoothing,  yet another obvious mis-step.

Then this monstrosity of pointless casting vvvvv
.  You might not recognize her, Sooyoung from SNSD.

Tp4 has always said, Kpop girls, should stay kpop girls, without the right airbrush, they are NOT 4K ready, certainly not framed this tight.   We see that awkward korean jawline surgery and the weird nose tuck. She's also way too old for that hair color as it doesn't frame her face in that light, making her look jowl-y.

The problem here isn't so much that women aren't allowed to age, or the over-emphasis on the way they look.  It's that this movie assembled in the-worst-way all of these inappropriate elements on a thoroughly despondent script, butchered further by a C-team of post production.

Death Note has one of the worst and unbefitting endings of any anime. It's like they totally ran out of time and budget and hired a guest writer who's never seen the rest of the series.
