Went and saw snow white.

Sigh. Did they just forget how to make movies?  Why aren't they using more AI.  Humans clearly can't do this any more.

AI is the only solution going forward.

When my kids were still at home we watched "Once Upon a Time" (the first few seasons) and I thought that it was pretty well done.

Finished Reacher, season1. Nice, I liked it, a lot better than previous Reacher movies with wee Tommy...
Didn't know this actor, pretty good one I would say, I liked the atmosphere in episodes, good watch.

Now watching season 3 of Reacher.
Really good, highly recommend it. Second season wasn't that good, I mean story wise.
Third one catches up to first - I like they way filmed it.

Although I first saw it in the mid-1970s, and "my Doctor" was Tom Baker, David Tennant is by far and away the best Doctor.

Watched few movies lately, time to share :)

The Chorus.

French drama movie, tells a story of a "school for rejects" and a music composer who takes a position of a teacher.
Pretty good, light movie, I did not even know that in 2004 it was nominated for Oscar as a best foreign movie.

I think it is a fine movie. made kinda old style, you won't feel any wave of new style. Most important it shows feelings and very vividly drawn characters.

Realistically, this seems like a nice place to work. No heavy lifting, clean, food and board + snaks.

The dark-Teal on white monitor is very nice.

The dark-Teal on white monitor is very nice.
Very much patterned after the Data General Dasher terminal. But it has a trackball and arrow keys instead of a numeric keypad.

Keycaps are supposedly SA Dasher, with some special legends painted on. But get doubleshot sets with those legends are available now.

Wtached another good foreign movie.

Bastarden.

I really like Mads Mikkelsen and he's plays his character really well in this one. English title is The Promised Land.
Very much enjoyed it. Guys - watch it, its a good one :)

Someone recommended Tp4 watch Top Boy,

Oh.. yes, this is cinema.  Just a raw intersection with the distant yet close lawlessness in the social underbelly. Lots of dirt, a dystopic jungle framed in a smart lens.

Tp4 can't watch it without subtitles, but their dialogue is perceptually quite lyrical as a consequence.

Side-step, this is a very apt analogy for the world's foreign-affairs, if any young person doesn't understand why countries do what they do, why they're racist, why America behaves like a thug, this show will learn-ya.

/Highly recommend

how I feel about 95% of sex scenes in film and television
so rarely does it hold any bearing or weaving with the actual plot. so pointless and gratuitous.

Ohhhh.. OK,  so Top boy  Channel 4, and Top Boy Netflix are different.

On netflix, season 123 is essentially 4 5 6.

The original Top boy channel 4 , has season 1 and 2, with 4 episodes each.

So, yea, didn't know that. You can start on either really,  but makes more sense to watch the Chan 4 first.

The one and only reason Disney now exclusively makes live action reboots of existing movies and has completely done away with the entire reason they are even on anyone's radar, which is animation, is sheerly due to live action costing multitudes less and being able to get made infinitely faster. And the consumer gets served hot fast food garbage, not really knowing any better because beautiful intricate animation and original stories have been tied up, gagged, and tossed in the The Rivers of America so the executives can pocket the difference in quality.
I'd be willing to bet that we never see another animated Disney film ever again.

Just watched The House That Jack Built
I've a high tolerance for movie violence and weirdness, but this film really pushed my comfort levels past their limits.
Really really well done, really really despicable. The acting is very good, too good. I cannot recommend it though, it's the kind of film that really sticks with you and ruins your day.

Starting up Black Mirror S7 finally.

Episode 1,  pretty decent,  I think, probably people would have riots, and the service would have to be absorbed by the government.  You can't have capitalism in charge of a business like that, people would start burning down the town.

Pretty decent, nothing absolute wowz yet. But they're definitely more interesting than vanilla-television.

On Episode 4 now,

Heads up anyone thinking about "experiencing acid".  If you are in a medical environment for a medical purpose at controlled medically LOW dosage,  that's 1 thing, there are legitimate therapy trials going on..

But do understand that the narrative you don't hear about is, people can have horrible acid trips, WHICH can lead to long term psychosis/ brain damage.

It's not the TV trope, always fun, parents hate this 1 trick.  It's can be extremely dangerous.

Ok, E4, pretty decent. It plays  the story smartly, they don't rely on tech to do story telling. They rely on a low tech off screen processing on part of the audience.

Good episode, solid premise.

How it refers to a clandestine consumer computer upgrade path is dumbed down a bit, buhh it serves the story well enough.

Dragon Ball Z Kai (again).

Did you watch Daima?

Not yet. Watched Super then decided to rewatch Kai. Plan is to go in order from there and include the movies, which I've never seen.

Have you?

Yeah, it was ok. The first few episodes, and the last few episodes were the best. The entire middle was kinda whatever, but man, WHAT an ending!

Also, wtf happened to Rick and Morty? It was like the biggest show ever for a few years and now no one talks about it. Does it still even exist? I know the whole JR thing, but was Justin leaving his roles really what killed the entire show? AFIK he still writes for it.

Not in a rush to watch Daima. After Super, I felt the DB universe wasn't that interesting.

I stopped watching Rick and Morty because I couldn't remember when a new season was back on. I don't even know which season I stopped at. Three?

Shalla-Bal in the Trailer.

IDK..  She's not nearly as kewl.  And if feels forced in this case.  They haven't given an organic reason for this switch up.

Is it just me or does Youtube pretty much turn anything that's not slow motion into blurry garbage?

Ahh.. wholesome television.

Her iconic teeth structure, it's ajar in just the right way that the audience found it endearing.

"If one really wishes to know how justice is administered in a country, one does not question the policemen, the lawyers, the judges, or the protected members of the middle class.
One goes to the unprotected — those, precisely, who need the law’s protection most! — and listens to their testimony."

Rewatching all the HP movies, and just realized Harry killed Cedric by saving him from the hedge maze. Cedric died due to Harry's predisposition to be a hero, otherwise he'd of lived along with the other contestants.

Dat new predators movie trailer.

Honestly, They tried this last time, those aliens are just not that deep or interesting. Do we really care about their culture?

They're basically, rich guy goes on safari in Africa with a big gun.

I would highly recommend The Rehearsal with Nathan Fielder on HBO
It is utterly fascinating, and incomparable to anything else. If you enjoy comedy, human psychology, and unique viewing experiences, I can say with confidence there is nothing else like it.

Season 1 was something unique and thought-provoking, season 2 is something I need to sit in the dark and ponder after viewing an episode.

Harry is a total twat, I hate the whole universe...
